I made it back just in time to watch all of my belongings completely VANISH. >:

Mine throws an error at me saying, "The server responded with an invalid security key".

Any clue as to what that means?

My fort is now a bunker. I need MORE EXPANSION.
What's the really hard block that looks a coal block but it has little yellow specks and takes twice as long to break.

Gold?

It drops nothing when broken.

You need certain tier pickaxes to mine certain things.

For example, you can't mine anything past Coal with a Wooden Pickaxe. Even if you can break the block you won't get any of the resources. For Gold you need Iron or above.

Edit: I'm also just assuming you're talking about Gold since I personally can't think of anything that resembles Coal except with yellow specks.

It's gotta be Gold. I'm sure you know what Iron looks like, but it's not as yellow... more of a dull brown. IIRC, you can break almost any block with your fists (except for bedrock) given enough time. It just won't drop the resources unless you have a certain pickaxe (gold+ requires Iron pickaxe). Also, the higher level pickaxe you have, the faster you can mine something.

Yeah, sorry about that, most likely was the site of where I planned on making a jumbo-sized basic house. Kinda dropped that project anyhow since I don't have time for MC for about a week, and even once I do, I really lost interest in the idea of digging 128x128x50 out of the earth. Assuming this was a single wide pit with nearby evidence of massive usage of explosives, where you aim to be is just past the second village, dubbed New Haven which is at the end of the long gravel path. Once there, you pass a mansion that has a little waterfall above and around it and pass through a small hillside into a swamp (assuming biomes changed). Not sure where your structure is from there, but that's at least where I think the 'excavation' site you mentioned is.

Meh have to look for it later (Too busy with either AC or LoL to actually play minecraft lately), if you have the exact coordinates i can locate myself better, also if you dont mind i may sort of continue your project to make something of mine, if not at least let me mine some of those resources ;D

I believe I found your structure at -102x, -562z.

The main excavation site is centered at about +50x on line with the same z coordinates. And no, I don't mind if you decide to use it for something else or just quarry it, since to be honest I really won't have time to do what I had in mind. The idea was the get the ground down to 8y, then have it surrounded on all sides by a steep stair slope. Inside would be a x16 sized replica of the house in the front of the digging hole. Idea was to live in the walls/under the bed etc. >.>

EDIT: Saw it on the way there, but the snowman army despawned. Also, who built this "bat cave" in the middle of the road?

It says quite literally on a sign in the front, "bat cave". True the last time I had been through there, there was a creeper hole in the road, but I didn't think it would turn into a structure when I wasn't looking. Not that I mind as long as the road is re-routed around it.

Side question; is there a program somewhere that can create a score with redstone timers for music with say, a midi input? I seem to have no talent with this. And I figure background music is as good a purpose as any for one of the "open spaces" inside my castle walls sitting there unused.

Second side question; without revealing spoilers is there an official way out of the end now besides dying? Once I have time, I'm considering using some eye of ender thingies to find a new dungeon with a gate there. Seeing as we already found the nether ruins (surprisingly quick actually) and have a place to farm blaze rods set up, it shouldn't be too hard from there.
