Empress Summoning Instructors

What the hell is going on here... Elitism, in MapleStory?

What happened to the days when people fought bosses for fun and some guilds actually organized free loot runs for those weaker maplers who couldn't afford a zhelm or a specific skillbook/mastery book? What's the point of being of being richer and more powerful than 99,99% of all Maplers and being able to face any boss in the game if you NEVER feel you have enough?

In the end, it will be the squad with the most NX spent into gear that will win this stupid "be the first the kill the boss" race, not the one with the best strategy. And seriously, being the first server/guild/squad/whatever to beat powerful boss is not longer an achievement since potential system

It's pretty clear each server has their own strategy as to how to do this and that with Cygnus and how to make her do this and that etc etc but we all know it comes down to being a race to see which server can down her first for bragging rights, when and if she ever gets unglitched. And until that is done, nothing will be shared directly as to how to do everything.

Unless someone in a group doesnt give a pomegranate about of who can kill it faster than who and posts a forum on how to kill it.

I would like the overall but 8b a piece (I think thats what I've heard) and IMO letting everyone know how to do the Instructors would not change that since the people that could do that is still quite small.

This "Elitism" is worse than WoW's. At least THOSE people, in WoW, release guides on how to down bosses that people can't down / are having trouble downing. This type of elitism is just being selfish pricks not wanting to have their income deflating.

Now that I think about it, this goes ALL the way back to the HT glitch argument.

But u sounded as if u didnt want everyone to know and keep it secert. and besides. its not like you have to be late 180/190 to even have a chance in the first place or even spend a large amount of NX in order to kill it/them.

only reason i don't want to share how it's beaten/done, or that it can be beaten/done (which, so far i have no idea if it's possible) is because of hackers, if i knew i wouldn't get DC'd out of my ass every time i go in if the empress was beatable, i wouldn't have any trouble sharing what i know, i like sharing and seeing what everyone discovers.

i run for elitism because im a giant prick who wants the most money possible + bragging rights
it makes me feel cool having a giant e-penor (because of several years of sickness (and therefore missing social stuff). but that's a WHOLE different story).

Nothing against Contagious, but I find it interesting to see you post this because your guild is one of the few who can recieve extreme amounts of income off of the Empress gear. Just nice to see that some players don't just care about huge profit margins. *Again, nothing against you guys, if I was in your situation, I wouldn't tell people my strategy either. <-- I wish that was Empress sticking out her tongue

I knew you would tie it to WoW after that other thread. It's so much different, which you know, yet you still compare to it. In WoW you always talk about really hard bosses that take a long of people to kill. In MS we have to talk about what people need to do to make it work right in the first place. No one wins in GMS until Nexon buffs us after a long ass time and thinks us capable of killing it when we have been all along. It was like that for PB, and it's the same for empress. Only difference is we get rewarded half way with instructors. It's obviously not the same in WoW. So why are you bothering?

PB was intentionally designed with the potential system, which is why PB was impossible until then. Empress is doable right now, but she's glitched to no end that's causing her to be unkillable in GMS. She's been killed in KMS and other versions long before Legendary Tier.

The main point I was getting at is people don't want to reveal strats even after the day she becomes killable, because people want to keep the prices inflated for their own personal gain. Yes, I understand that people probably want to keep them hush-hush to avoid hackers, but the only problem is when people start flaunting the 140 weapons, said hackers will know she's killable and deflation is inevitable. Granted, this is assuming she doesn't have a blue notice announcement, similar to HT and PB.

I very very rarely run with my guild, because of multiple incidents that easily stop me from doing so.
1. RL stuff.
2. Vista computer, which gets eaten by Maple's shitty coding
3. Limited access to NX.

There are some people that would do the same thing but only to gear up their own players to the max to then f'uck with everyone else. If you play an MMO you have to embrace the fact that everything you see can and will be replaced even if the game is about to die. They will try to suck money out of it. Might as well make it fun while you can. I would rather it be cheaper, but it's not up to me. It's up to Nexon. Which pisses me off. It might even piss you off. The whole her being a peach thing, spamming moves, skills, etc isn't how she's supposed to behave.

I'm comparing Maple to WoW with people releasing / not releasing POST-KILL strats, which is what I was trying to get at.
I completely understand with people not wanting to release strats on bosses they're working on, because that's the exact same in WoW.

They really do that as well? That's weird. If we collaborate in secret since we're in separate servers, it really doesn't matter what we say, which is why i agreed with the secret meeting of information and stuff.
