Do you mean the first dozen boxes that you yourself open, or the first dozen boxes that anybody opens (in a givin map) right after Nexon turns on the Eregos at 10am pacific?

Also when you say first 20 or so, it makes me wonder if you got the good items from cc-ing around all 19 channels of one map, then when you start in on another map, the good stuff gets eliminated from the list.

My experience: First box ever -AEE scroll, every one after that - 10 pots. But I've only opened 20 or so total.

First dozenish that you open, regardless of where you got them or when.
Last night I purposely left 20 unopened boxes in my inventory. They had been collected on various maps and channels, can't remember really, they all stack.
As expected, when I opened them this morning (in the El Nath potion shop), the first three were "premium items", then a mix of junk and good, with the final "premium" (accessory attack 15%, as it happens) coming from box number 13. I don't think I will get any more good stuff today, but we'll see when 10am rolls around.

I guess when you get about 5 acc stat scrolls in a row it's safe to say stop using it for the day

I farm boxes at sleepywood with my 15x and 16x characters. There are 20 or so maps, times 13 channels = 260 chances for an ergoth.
I've got a lot of boxes.

It starts spawning at 10.

They don't start spawning for five more minutes.

yea on some maps i will get ergoths on like 7+ channels but then others i get none when nobody has even been there

me and a friend can confirm this, having done around 50 each.

Okay I can safely say now it's 1 or the other

you either get get 5 good scrolls(including crap 2-h weapon scroll/chaos/etc) or you open about 30 boxes

then for the rest of the day, the box becomes evil and trolls you with accessory stat scrolls

The only thing i'm gonna say is that my Hunter is never gonna run out of Sunrise Dews.

Actually one spawned right before leaving the drake mini dungeon so if they do spawn in dungeons.

It doesn't. If you find a map it spawns in, skip the next map. There are a few exceptions to the rule, like Mushroom Castle and Stone Golems, but it works for the most part. Example: He won't spawn at "Outside North Desert of Ariant", but does at "North Desert Road 1", one map over. He doesn't spawn in the next map, Desert Road 2, but will appear at the Desert of Red Sand.

I'm with the idea that boxes are set to give you nice things for the first 25-30 boxes. Thats been my experience so far.
