Watching Baccano! didn't feel like I was watching an anime, it felt like I was watching a f'ucked up rendition of The Departed or something.

I felt like I was watching a Quentin Tarantino movie, only without the violence being quite as aesthetic as it is in a Tarantino movie. Still, the crazy action, cast, and storytelling compare really well with Tarantino's movies.

Also i think sarah liked it more than she expected to or is letting on and will watch another anime. Possibly without telling us. I just pineappleing hope it isn't something retarded when there is all of Hiyo Miyasaki's stuff, things like Wolfs Rain, pretty much any of the Gundam Series that aren't just about mecha's but the struggles of people and stories of really good drama. (unicorn, wing, 00, SEED, EW). Ghost in the shell is also amazing. Parts of ruroni kenshin are really good (and the prequel/origin story that i can't remember the name of for that matter).

I think if saruh truly gave no f'ucks she wouldn't go on about the show at all or still be in this thread.

On that note,

Watch Princess Mononoke (The dub is ok. I prefer the sub but that is pretty standard for me. If you want to watch something excellently dubbed go for Howls Moving Castle)
