Maple keeps crashing
#1
Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:

I was trying to play maple today and it kept crashing every 5 minutes. Has anyone been having the same problem?

Vista 64-Bit here. Was working for several hours on the first "session" after doing the update in the morning. Any attempts now result in this crash.

Some people had a similar problem back in time, especially on Vista.

This worked out back then:

1. Run cmd as an administrator
2. Type in "netsh winsock reset"
3. Press enter
4. Reboot your computer

Not sure if it works, but hey, it doesn't destroy your computer either.

As do I, but I was too lazy to SS it/no custom desktop SS software/don't want to "PrintScreen" into paint. I can manage for Hot Time with my laptop, but this is a terrible time for this to have happened all the same.

This happened to me, but I was logged in for about an hour or so before it crashed. It only happened once, because I only cared to log in once. lol

I have this posted in the other thread about this.

Hime Wrote:Hello Maplers,

We are working with AhnLab to resolve this issue some players are experiencing. AhnLab has identified the cause of this issue but will not be able to provide the fix for us until early next week. We understand some players will not be able to attend the 2x event and Hot Time this weekend and we do sincerely apologize for that inconvenience. We will have similar events in the future that you will be able to participate in.

Thank you for your patience.

So no official fix until the Patch on the 10th. >_< And if you don't want to wait until then use this link and follow the directions.

XxSilencer Wrote:I'm running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and I have yet to encounter any problems but I was browsing through the Nexon Forums this morning and came across a post that Hime had quoted that a bunch of people are saying fixed their problem, here's the link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796

Just scroll down a bit until you come across the first set of steps 1-3.

After doing so, it states that if the problem does not continue the problem is due to; "interference is occurring because of a background program or service." and if it does continue; "interference is not occurring because of a background program or service."

Hope this helps people.
