For Papu, Zak, and HT, the memory leaks are fixed for the most part. Scar/Targa not so much as memory consumption still goes up quite a bit. CWKPQ also causes a ton of D/C's due to the still existant music loop bug.

however, something i did to my client was adjust it to use more than 2gb of ram, but it seems that nexon changed its exe file to already support more than 2gb of ram after BB patch. i still can leave maple on in the background while playing WoW w/o any issue.
I can verify this. I've had no issues on my laptop since then concerning bosses. Having a shop open is more of a hazzle over night, because the comp freezes up and gets hotter than Maple should make it sometimes. i take it that is also a consequence of the memory leak.

well, i did cwkpq twice this weekend, and no crash issue, idk about the music loop bug, because since the first day i logged on maple, i turned the music off and its been off since 2005 lol
After BB patch, i duo'ed HT with my friend, 2 run/day for 1 week, only dced 1.

All of the players that you see from the moment you log on don't get removed out of the memory cache until the moment you close out the client. That means all of the spammers you see in the Free Market Entrance have their graphical data stored in the cache and bogging down memory that it shouldn't be used once they're on a different map.
I'm a programmer myself. I know that freeing up unused or unneeded memory is one of the first things you learn. That doesn't change the fact that if some idiot put in leaky code somewhere, it would be very hard for someone else (or that same idiot, for that matter) to find it, years after the fact.
If what you're saying about the character avatars is true, the problem is deeper, it's in the design. One can't just say, purge an avatar from memory once you're not on the same map, because, for example, in a PQ you're constantly re-meeting the same people on different maps. Clearing and reloading their avatars every time would be wasteful. Must implement some kind of cache, and LRU, and so on... Just one of the many re-designs the game's infrastructure needs.
As for bossing issues: for me they've been getting worse. I run on XP and used to have 0 problems. Now I often end up with transparent dialog windows after just one or two zruns, with no more than 3 people at altar, and on graphics quality 2-3. And oh yeah, if I don't switch graphics quality at body changes, it's much more likely to happen, and sometimes third body starts winking in and out as well.

It's completely possible for the game's increasing memory usage over time to be attributed to a bug that isn't a memory leak. Regardless, it's disheartening knowing we're playing a game that's barely optimized by 2004's standards.

Anyone know if they've fixed the sign in issue with Horntail?

Since they implemented a timer and a new channel, they might have copy pasta'd over that fail system we got with a HT ticket and crap. It does not even look intentional for heavens sake, and I bet that was the root of the bug. I have been itching to solo HT for weeks already...

I think they should put a timer to pap. People afking in there during all the 2x events pisses me off... Still happy for the changes

I bet paps timer would be 5 minutes considering how fast he can be killed now.
