I forgot about those two bosses.
I honestly can see it being used more for lower levels than anything. Because, even with a theoretical damage reduction, it's generally a trivial thing to 2HKO monsters 10 or 20 levels higher than you, but impractical since you'd be missing all the time.

Too bad this skill won't do me any good since my main and max level Cygnus are on the same account, and I don't have a max level Cygnus on another count (and thus, cannot buff my main). The extra mileage suggested by Acornstory doesn't mean much to me when there's little reason for my Night Walker to participate over my Night Lord. To me in the end, Cygnus Knights still only serve as blessing mules. Ultimate Adventurer isn't even worth it unless you're making a Hero or a Warrior.
Viaje Wrote:As for damage penalty, I was just having a conversation with my brother about that. Can someone confirm that damage penalty still exists? As far as I can tell, it's been removed. I've stopped adding AP gained from levels 146 to 166 so my damage range practically stayed the same. When I started hunting Oblivion mobs from 160 to 166, the numbers I've seen were consistent throughout the levels. I've also not upgraded during that level period and Maple Warrior was already stalled from leveling at level 19 before reaching 160 so there's practically nothing that should raise my damage in any way whatsoever if it were to somehow miraculously even out the damage penalty if there was one.

Would help the "1hkos anything that it can hit" issues DWs have, too bad they get it after they stop training.
I mean, my lv.100 DW averages 115k on holy targets. That's pretty useless considering even level 120 mobs (which I can't hit) only have 103k HP... When I hit lv.110 that'll move up to 190k~ per attack, and I'll be able to 1hko anything under 140... if I could hit it.

Looky looky. Devil's dream of a bossing use for Cygnuses might be comming true. Too bad they still suck arse compared to a decently leveled character of any class that aint Cygnus.

I hope cygnus knights get 4th job in the next big expansion (like big bang) and that these skills are turned into common 4th job ones (like maple warrior for adventurers). Of course, tweaking all the jobs and skills a bit.

No. The whole design of a Cygnus is that they get one or two skills a job tier early, but they cap off at level 120. Allowing them to go past 120 means they have more AP than the rest of the classes along with higher tier skills that otherwise break the balance of the game (even more). People need to stop DREAMING that their Cygnus can go past 120.

Any possibility can exist when it comes to maplestory. 250 max level would most likely give a level 16x end point for KoC. It's ignorant to shut down any possibility when it clearly exists.
As for the buff, I don't find much use of it, I'd rather suck up 10% misses than have a KoC sap some of my exp lol.

He never said that he hoped that nexon raised the level cap for Cygnus characters. He only wanted a 4th job with according skills. Well, the 4th job advancement is already there, but you just get an empty book. Make quests to give/upgrade skills and tadaa, you have a ful 4th job for Cygnus characters while remaining the 120 level cap. I also hope they do something like that, in combination with a level 120-ish boss only available for Cygnus chars which drops some nice things, so level 120 Cygnus actually have a use.

Except Cygnus classes right now are pretty mediocre since every class that sucked at levelling before 120 got a big update and grinding to 120 is no longer as much of a time sink as it used to be (although it still is a major one). Their skills don't even outshine Adventurer classes by much, if at all, now. I mean, look at Blaze Wizards. With the addition of Teleport Mastery, F/Ps now dominate Blaze Wizards in every job even with the bonus AP. Cygnus classes in general are modeled after a particular Adventurer class and there's nothing really unique about them so at this point they're pretty much just Blessing mules.
Giving them a 4th job advancement and a huge skill redesign would actually be great, and could be tied into the current future corruption storyline.

"Empress Cygnus ventured out in search of new sources of power for her knights"
"bla bla bla 4th job abilities"
"But she still wondered if they could become even more powerful...DUN DUN DUN"

And then they met Zordon, and talked to the fucking power rangers. Well Meso rangers. Called it.

Because, even with the new accuracy formula, I occasionally go to monsters five levels higher than me, and I never notice a difference between the damage I do there compared to mobs my level or lower.

Well, wasn't that the whole reason she wanted to find the World Tree? (Actually have no idea what that how that whole plot line goes.)
Either way, plot-train ho!

The fact I have to invite them to a party for a small % boost in accuracy is still not worth it.

It's not a % boost in accuracy.

So uh, what does a "hit higher level monsters" do for me then? Nothing besides increase my hitrate.

All the acc in the world would not let you hit stuff much higher than you. What this system must do, if it is not just Nexon being Nexon, would be to make the miss rate smaller per level.

You know, I actually posted a thread about that in the Maple Additions section a while back. I was just a lame brainstorm I had when I was particularly bored one day, but I did post it!

If I recall after the chaos patch it's 1% instead of 5%, my point is theres no monster currently available where this would make such a difference that they would be sought out for. Personally by me anyway, especially with the accuracy system yet again being updated.

Not to mention that it isn't a %-Accuracy boost.
Oh, and there is that little +4% attack bonus...

Don't KOC already have a mini echo? Or an equivalent? How many level 120 KoC's do you see at bosses? I have to say I've only seen one.

Granted accuracy doesn't effect hit rate based on level difference but when there isn't a level difference then it's essentially adding accuracy.

Hmmmm sounds interesting, I might have to gear up my epic Nightwalker again! :+)
Although I still have a feeling "first seeing, then believing" about the ability to hit higher lvl monsters.
Though, 100% hitting Papulatus (lvl125) would be nice!
