BombsAway Wrote:No. It means he's a horrible bi-product of the story. Just like the Weapons in Final Fantasy 7 were a bi-product of Sephiroth's revival. Just because it's a result of something that happens in the story doesn't make it a main focus of the story.
It's not a horrible bi-product of the story. After reading the storyline they invented for it and seeing its death animation I think that they have plans to continue the storyline about Pink Bean and there will be more things related to it, therefore related to the Black Mage as well. When the Pink Bean dies, he doesn't really DIE but he goes back to his dimension instead. I'm pretty sure that we'll know more about this dimension soon.. it might be the dimension where Black Mage currently is, or it could just be an invention of NEXON to explain where Pink Bean comes from. The Mirror of the Goddess allowed Kirston to open a portal to this dimension for a mistake, while he was trying to revive the Black Mage, and that's where Pink Bean came from.
They might as well never explain what this dimension is and what's in it. But they could also relate it to the Black Mage, continuing the Pink Bean-Black Mage storyline, like I'm thinking they could do.
Remember that Pink Bean was called "the Black Mage's underling" (does it mean minion?) in the description of the Pink Bean's chair. Which means that they could as well release more things related to those two.

Just like how KMS is now saying "ohai the Balrog NEVER DIED WAHAHA!", so too can Nexon go "THE BLACK MAGICIAN WAS ACTUALLY AN APPRENTICE" or "THE BLACK MAGICIAN WAS A VERSALIAN SOLDIER" or something like that. The company can and will create anything it needs to continue a story as long as there's interest in playing the story.
That's what they're probably going to do, yeah.
P.s.: Balrog already tells us that he doesn't die and that he'll come back in the message in its die speech..
