Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal?

Just because someone in your party is killing faster than you doesn't mean you're leeching.

If you're getting near 50% of the exp from their kills it does.

Also, it seems everyone in this thread seems to think that unless both party members are killing exactly the same speed (50/50) the slower member is leeching.

What's wrong with you people? Of course not all classes kill at the same speed.

It really depends. The bishop that I train with is actually happy to have me bottom because I kill fast enough to clear the entire spawn. Sure she kills a lot faster than me, but I'm doing a not insignificant portion of the killing. On the other end of the spectrum is people who beg to "train" with Bishops and end up relying entirely on the Bishop's kills and only kill enough to keep the spawn going.

I train with FluffyFoxxie and his gf at O4 sometimes, and our share of kills is not completely unbalanced. It may not be 1/3:1/3:1/3 but none of us is pulling over half the weight.

By the time you're done clearing up the 2 or 3 monsters that survived the Pierce, she's used Genesis a second time and up to 15 monsters in her general vicinity are dead.

I rarely see Gen hitting more than 8-9 monsters at O4 though :/

And wait what, Gen takes a year and a half to cast. I can tear up a mob with Torpedo in the time it takes to use it once.

Sorry, I 2hko mobs with Pierce, and it's actually quite a fluid motion. I don't even "clear up" the remaining mobs using strafe (usually only one, if any, is alive though) I simply DB them into the next group of enemies, and use more Pierce. Heck sometimes even FP kills off enemies if they have low enough hp. If an enemy spawns behind me I snipe it and continue to Pierce away. There's no way she kills 50% faster than I do. If I had to guess I'd say it's about 3:2 split in terms of kill speed. (for every 3 monsters she has killed, I have killed 2).

Sure in early 4th she dominated my kill speed. After all she only needs to max one skill to be competent, I need like 4. But the point is, I'm not sitting on my ass (or rope, as the case may be) letting the exp pour in while she does all the work, which is the true definition of leeching. Nobody counts party split exp as "leeching" even if it is technically leeched exp.

Don't worry, that's an easy mistake to make. Training with a faster killer isn't leeching if you're actually going around killing stuff and doing things.

Just tested new exp gain. 162 Corsair training with 167 Bishop (~1220 magic, supposedly 1hkos about 75%)

30 mins of 4x
I gained ~11.5% = ~12.8m/hr on 1x
Bishop gained ~13% = ~19m/hr on 1x

Before patch I was gaining ~15m/hr with the same party setup.

Huge difference but no complaints. I'm pretty sure I could get 15, if not more at O4.

The layout of skeles is also hugely in favor of the bishop. At O4 it's a lot more balanced, if you two trained there your rates would be a lot more comparable.

Anyway, that was a good 2 years of my life with leeching. Training two characters was soooo efficient.

If you can kill at a similar rate the exp change shouldn't really be a reason not to party.

For every 5 monsters, instead of 240% exp, you get 220% exp. It's still more than the 200% you'd get for your own 2 kills, even without factoring in HS and party bonus.

Ironarrows is not tolerant of illegitimate means of playing the game, such as hacking, botting, or leeching. If you have a problem with that, you can find a different guild to be in, buddy. We don't want you.

We don't have to catch you in the act at all. We have other tools at our disposal.

By the way: If your friend is leeching a character that is not in the guild we could care less. So if the two of you think you're slipping under the radar by, say, leeching a new aran or w/e, that's none of our business.
