Lukless or normal luk

Which one is better?

Pretend there are no Elewands, but there are Reverse Aeas Hands. (KMS)

Luckless; in Neo Tokyo, there's apparently a high level luckless weapon.

Plus, higher MP and more INT from Maple Hero. Don't need to worry about having too much luck and can benefit other characters if you plan to HP Wash.

Downfall is a little more expensive equips, less variety in equips and overall ugly looking without NX.

I disagree that your equips for lukless have to be expensive. Luk relies more on the qualityy of gear than lukless does because the lukless has everything in int. So your level will be more of an influence on your damage.

Yes, one of my friends was one of the 5 godliest lukless bishops then around GMS, but you don't need to spend billions on gear to be effective as a lukless. I played until 131 with a 2 dex 8 slot bathrobe, 2 str 6 slot fencepost, no helmet and a 3 below average clean black umbrella. I still 2hkod newts, and trained just fine.

I think lukless with bad gear is in a much much better place than most classes with bad gear. Don't worry about that, just play, if that's what makes you happy.

As to this. My AM is able to 2 hit newts with nothing but a 17 INT Zhelm and a clean wooden wand and is lv 138 with 77 base LUK. So it really doesn't matter. Once you get to a certain level.

KMS doesn't have Neo Tokyo. Aeas Hand > level 64 Maple weapon

Best option = lukless to 10x and convert

why does it have to be black or white? you could go low luk and still use a reverse weapon. my bishop has 25 luk and wears full reverse gear.

These discussions never really get to a conclusive answer, but if you really wanted to find out, go look at the top mages thread, and see their magic scores and current build to make up your own mind.
I know I've seen a couple of mages with very low luck wearing full reverse gear, so maybe if they could throw in their two cents on the subject.

If you just want to 1 hit newties/skeles just lv a little bit more, if you are a stat hoe go low luk. As someone else said you can use reverse equips with 2x base luk.

Just do the math. Luck Mages need to add the same amount of luk to get the same magic atk boost from their next level weapon...therefore you will get the same atk boost by only increasing ur int and just use the lower level weapon

however lukless gets maple weapons and later on lukless ewands and that means let's say u have a 110 matk shine wand, you are 110 matk stronger than the normal luk

also pure int Mage has MUCH higher mp gain per level and more m def due to higher int

You're forgetting that overall, shoes, gloves etc. for luk mages have base int and luk as well. Also, you can't use maker for common equips.

90% of the int robe, glove and shields are low level common equips so wuts ur point?? Not to mention yellow snowshoes...

Who would want to spend billions on PoTs to make reverse gears that stuck on your char forever when you can easily equip a low level robe for similar stat boosts that is very flexible and easy to resell

I recently forged level 50 items for my lukless F/P.

9 int clean shoes
8 int clean overall - turned up 30 int
6 int clean gloves - turned up 13 int 7 matk

Common equips have much lower starting stats, and those were only level 50 equips (only one gem).

lukless can still equip up to lv50 Mage equips even without any luk if u have htp and zhem

another reason For why lukless is superior

however, yes obviously normal Mage stuff has better starting stats but it is also takes luk to equip them and hard to mass scroll them like you can easily with bathrobes and wgs thus less likely to get godly stats

That dude has more magic attack than I do, but he has more godly gear. I'm only behind by a little bit and most of my stuff isn't scrolled.

Looks like it has been scrolled for speed which doesn't change anything.

5 scrolls for shoes for speed 60%
