(Call of Duty) Modern Warfare 2

Great to hear that the campaign is going to be awesome. Personally, I'm looking forward to the co-op more than anything else.

Want to explain how?

Just with all the new guns, maps, perks, killstreaks and deathstreaks, it seems much more fast-paced than the first one, it could just be me though. Also, for multiplayer you aren't just stuck with a pistol as a secondary gun. You can use automatic pistols, Grenade launchers, the normal RPGs, and the all important shotguns. That adds a whole new layer of complexity to the game.

The Co-op isn't anything great in my opinion. It not like another story just to complete with a friend, it's a bunch of separate things to complete with someone, or alone. It actually seems like it will get repetitive after a while. For example, each mission has a type of "class", assault, race, defend. Simple objectives like that. Still, it's pretty fun.

I still find it hilarious that Call of Duty 4 is coming out on the Wii tomorrow, too.

Anyone know what that 'offensive' level is? I was guessing it's the airport level, since you just gun down and massacre everyone in there (No spoils! It's only the second level or so.)

AND. The thing I hate most is Brazil. STUPID. MILITIA. Just GTFO.

And in Brazil...There were some doggies. Oh how I love doggies...I do not like to snap their necks...It makes me sad when they make their puppy death noises.

I'm hyped about this game, but can't play it since I need a better comp. =(

You sir have found the offensive level. I really don't see why mowing down lots of innocent people is suddenly taboo, as you do that to heal in Prototype <_<. You can also do it all the time, with almost no penalty or reason as well.

lol, so if some crazy shit dog was about to eat your face off, and all you had was a knife and gun on you, you wouldn't shoot it? Dogs can be cute and all, but it'd be pretty pathetic if you got killed by one because you were too ANIMAL RIGHTS FOR DA WIN! ^.^ to prevent it.

Got my game on Sunday. Apparently, there was some rumor that this town near me was selling copies of Modern Warfare 2 at its local GameStop so I checked it out; and what do you know? It happened to be true; and apparently, the employee there told us that he was authorized to sell them in addition to another GameStop around New Jersey; and that he himself played through all of the campaign on Saturday evening. Apparently, this was some kind of business ploy to get publicity and attention to GameStops with really low business; and I could tell from the tiny as hell GameStop I went into.

So: Sunday, I played through Spec Ops mode for about 30 minutes because I was busy with a bit of work that day and my brother was hoarding the game to himself. Hooray for an obligatory Hoard/Zombies/Firefight! (This one being moreso like Firefight) Played through this with my brother who refused to share until we did Spec Ops. I love how the first thing of spec ops is running through the training pit in the beginning of the game.
Monday, doing projects. No time; but I got wind of epic spoilers from my brother such as:

CAPTAIN PRICE IS STILL ALIVE OH EM GEE. Gulag level really caught me by suprise when I heard about this.

Tuesday: played through campaign for the first time. I had a LOT and LOT of fun; stopped after Burger Town-level for the day. Things I enjoyed the most: snowmobile, Soap tackling Rojas from the top of building down onto a car, and running around America in shambles [with certain places like "Taco To Go" (with a vaguely familiar logo) and "Burger Town" with a logo around the commercial center in the level) I'm sure many are familiar with and downing helicopters, tanks, and other stuff with Stingers and the remote missile-things. The snowmobile scene was EPIC; the physics were insanely stunning and realestic, and the speed that thing plows down the mountain at is awesome- while it's no Warthog race from Halo: CE and 3 which had epic orchestral music in the background and random crap exploding in the background, this thing was awesome in its own right, especially the amazing leap near the end. And oh my god, when I saw Rojas on top of a building, I was like "FFFUUUUUU- now I have to run up some crappy building?" when I see Soap charging and tackling Rojas off the building while I was looking at it on my screen and falling onto a car. And oh god, the airport level was excellent. Not because running around and killing random civilians was fun for me, the storytelling interaction here was excellent. I gave civilian killing a rest most of the time to watch Makarov's group killing and spraying everyone. Still, the storyline seems a little... loose and poorly told from what I've seen so far. Oh well, I'm not playing for storyline, but a good game.
Also: I'm impressed by the dialogue given by the squads, it's ACTUALLY USEFUL!

When your friend shouts, "Two tangos behind the yellow station wagon!" you'll actually see two enemies behind a yellow station wagon. It's a pretty engaging experience.

This obviously isn't babble or trivial stuff, the dialogue is actually engaging; and there's some interesting story and actually decent interaction to be gained from it.

Today, I've done a bit more campaign, but I had to turn the Xbox back to my brother.

There's no co-op of the campaign; that was scrapped for Spec Ops. As for Multiplayer on Live, I could do that, except I don't have a Gold Membership at the moment. I've gotta get one of those again some time soon to join in with my friends who've been going crazy with Live.

I got it the day it came out, November 10th and played for around 5 hours straight~
Multiplayer only of course, the best part of MW2.. and only Level 22!!!

Anyway, he is showing me a round of online play so I could see what it is like, then BAM, screen freezes. Okay, not too bad. So I manually reset my 360. I wait for like the longest f[SIZE="2"]u[/SIZE]cking 10 seconds of my life AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW, I GOT MOTHERF[SIZE="2"]U[/SIZE]CKING THE RED RING OF DEATH. At this point I am raging all over the place, I have been looking forward to this game. So we wait for like 10 minutes to try turning on my 360 again. It turns on normally, hooray! So we get ready to co-op, 10 seconds into the f[SIZE="2"]u[/SIZE]cking game, it Red Rings again. F[SIZE="2"]U[/SIZE]CK. I was tempted to like hit my 360 or something, I have had it for like over 2 years or so and have never had any problems, in fact, I don't even play it that much anymore since college started. Now I have to sent it in for repairs.

I have 69.7% of the game with an ETA of 6d because my friend who had it and was going to give it to me skipped town or something.

Just played tried out the multiplayer today. Did a couple of the campaign missions last night; shit is a lot harder than it was in the first MW. And I'm only playing on Hardened... ;~;

Played some today. Campaign is garbage with pretty set pieces. Multiplayer... feels like CoD multiplayer. I like what they've done with some of the new perks / rehauled old perks.

I'm really enjoying the multiplayer. I'm also loving the 28+ year old men bitching and moaning about lolcamping every time they die from a sniper shot.

All I have to say is: FAMAS + Bling + Holo + Silencer +Stopping Power + Steady Aim is so cash. Although I must say that Stopping Power is not completely necessary any more, which is nice because Cold Blooded is a great perk to have on at all times. The game did a good job at removing necessary perks and giving you much more leeway on which guns are good to use.

The game is ridiculously sniper friendly now, which is actually better in my opinion. It makes taking a "ninja" style class in much more efficient for easy kills on the less than smart campers.

One huge debate now is Stopping Power vs. Cold Blooded. I have to say in anything but Deathmatch Cold Blooded seems to be the way to go, but with the FAMAS one burst and Stopping Power almost always gives you a kill if you're aiming at chest/neck/head boxes.

I'll post up more of my opinions once I get into it a bit more; I'm only level 39 ATM and I'm still waiting on my beautiful M16.

I can't play it until the weekend, but I heard that it's an improvement better than Cod 5 for the Wii...even though I did hear sniping was a sonofapeach (which sucks, since I sniped 24/7 in Cod 5....for the wii). I guess I can go to using the Shotguns, hee hee.
