Have you killed Balrog?

I've been posting a few times recently in the Boss Battles thread, then I thought to make a brand new post with logical reason.

Has anyone wiped out that big ol' Balrog? No matter what you say, he is a tough boss even if you're an lol level 200 mage or something. I've heard of a few wins on Southperry and like five times the Balrog falling in Windia itself or so. If that's so, then it's six now.



Finally didn't die. But when we all got to bonus and someone stabbed the red jewel (not sure who), the items flew out. I saw a pair of Balrog leathers, an elixir, a cheesecake, and some yellow bow. Then my screen went pitch black and the application closed. When I hurriedly got back on, turns out everyone in bonus disconnected. Hmm...

But still, it was a bunch of fun. And do want to hear who else has been in a successful run.

I did it multiple times today and didn't have that problem =)

I just got off a balrog run, and BOY that thing is mean.

It had about 2/5 hp left once I died. Frickin reflect.


Some other people ALMOST killed it, but a sudden damage reflect got them.

this thing is vindictive.

Wait... you guys are serious? What's so hard about it? We were so bored there and it was like everything was in slow motion. Not hard.

It's just time consuming and annoying when you see nothing drop in Bonus, not hard. =/

I think it's hard to find fifteen good not random signers to get together to fight a boss where it's basically communism since everyone's range is equal and you can't use fourth or third job skills and it does 7.1k damage reflect to me, where I'm a one hit kill without Hb and a two hit kill with Hb.

Maybe it's just me though.

pineapple you OP. I already wasted a full week doing ONLY balrog runs all day. I attempted balrog over 40 times in the past week (not exaggerating) with 15 people and we never killed it. Best we got is to 1cm left.

I've only killed it one other time after this post and I've had unsuccessful runs since. So many noobs don't know what they're doing, sigh. And not enough attacking power. Sucks you haven't been able to do it.

Attacking power is easy to come by, the problem is 90% of the people there are too stupid to stop attacking when you tell them to.

I personally try to just run with people I know, mainly my guild. Problem with doing a "guild run" is that there is too many stupid people who think that this is some type of Party Quests, and try to enter as well. Only about 1/100 of those randoms who try to sign up will actually stop attacking when Phase 3 rolls in at the appropriate time, the majority of the idiots either die before Phase 3 or just get killed by Reflect cause they're are too stupid, as Dusk posted.

I have experienced a bonus run closing too soon, but not a disconnection issue at all. It glitched for me when the timer was too low from the other run (ie, 30 seconds remaining from the boss fight).

Also, someone got a Bain Wings in Mardia, insane amount of power within a level 58 weapon. Apparently someone offered 800m~ so far on it.

But, I see that Normal dropped twice the amount of loot then Easy, and apparently only certain things can come from Normal.

No. Fail fix is fail. Supposedly, in other worlds there's a Hard for 120+.
