Outlaws, way to train at Squids?
#1
In a lot of vids I've seen, some Outlaws uses Ice Splitter to freeze Squids. Some uses Blank Shot to stun. Can you possibly combine both? Like use Splitter first, then Blank, or vice versa? Also, is Flamethrower effective on regular Squids + Risell Squids? L>more Outlaw Squids training videos!

Screw the squids, Gobys are so much more fun.

But yes they can squid pretty well.
Only reason you should use Ice Splitter over Blank Shot is when you use your summons, or there are mobs bigger then 3.
But i would use Ice Splitter right when it can freeze for 3 seconds.

No Flamethrower doesn't do much damage on squids or any aqua road monster for that matter.
They are strong to fire IIRC and only does around 150-ish damage with a capsule at level 100.
If you plan to squid for a long time and move on to the newties, get 25 Ice Splitter, 1 Gaviota and then 21+ Octopus.
Those 3 moves will help you alot more at the squids.

Question:

Why Squids?

There are way better training spots these days. :f6:

squids are no different than anywhere else nub khoi. You just freeze or stun then atk em. There's not really a need to do both.

Just pick one to immobilize them.

if it's really freeze or stun, I'll pick Stun. I see no point in using Freeze until ... Newties, Squids1 usually doesn't have huge mobs, unless you circle the map over and over, and choose not to attack the bot, until the 3rd or 4th go-around.

That and they do very minimal damage when I trained there on a Hermit. I choose Squids because:

a) They do crappy damage, thus lessening pot-consumption
b) Squids1 IS actually fun.
c) Gobies are too much work, because if they def-up, that's going to suck. Also, Gobies spawns in huge mobs when you break a Goby House, so I would need 25+ Splitter to get decent EXP there.
d) There are some other places that I can think of, but I'm just picking locations based off of where I trained as a Hermit, and slightly improvising. Himes = not ready for, Newties = I plan on doing around 9X, Gobies = too annoying, anywhere in NLC = 'no'. I find NLC too crowded, because everyone's at NLC now. I'd rather solo at Squids1. I did that from late 7X-10X on a Hermit, yes, soloing at Squids.

When I trained at Squids from 76-100, I couldn't wait to get Ice Splitter to the appropriate level. Thats only because stuns get canceled by melee such as gun whacks and my summons canceled it. I know whacking squids doesn't sound like a big issue, but it really was for me and the bottom part of squids was hard to clear because of the mobbing.
