Attack pots
#1
Is there much point in using them?

Now that my energy charge is becoming active fairly frequently (level 19 atm, active 60% of the time) i've started to wonder whether or not buying attack pots is necessary, since charge gives more than any pot except ciders. Should i keep buying warrior elixers and use them for the downtimes? Do marauders use attack pots despite charge active 95% of the time?

I'd keep buying attack pots for the sake of having more attack during the time I am not in Energy Charge; same reason I still buy Archer Elixirs despite having maxed Energy Charge. Besides, it's only an additional 37,500/75,000 mesos per hour.

Charge can override the -5 acc loss from ciders right? I won't have +15 if i use them during downtime right? o.o

I have no idea. I swear that before I got my Zakum Helmet if I had Energy Charge up when I have no sniper pill, I actually missed, even with over 11 bonus accuracy from Charge (with Sniper Pill I never missed Windraiders). :f6: Either the skill is bugged at lower levels or something was up that caused me to miss. I swear that accuracy and avoid do not entirely work for Energy Charge.

Hey this happens to me too. Even though my charge is max, i will still miss avoid 39 mobs which i should't miss when charge is on. I believe the accuracy charge gives is bugged.

Since charge does not overide higher attack pot (nor do many of the pirate skills Big Grin) so if you were to use an apple, and charge activates, your att wont drop. So, it may be worth it to just buy ciders and carry some of them around, as they only last 5 mins, you can use one when you come up to a smaller mob that might not fully charge charge up, you wont really miss out on an att boost.

Your charge charges so fast now because of the mobs at wind raiders probably, at other maps though and at higher levels you don't gets as many mobs on a single plat, making your energy charge a lot slower, and then att pots come in handy.

Err...

70-mid 8x = Windraiders

Mid 8x - mid 9x possibly = Storm chamber (stormbreakers) or himes

Mid 9x - 120 = Typhons or himes. Possibly the new nightshadow map with a party.

All highly mobby places. Even after 120 there's plenty of spots to keep my energy charged. Nightshadows and CGs especially.

Of course. Not a very wallet friendly place, but still...

Dont forget that if you have an atk pot on and e-charge comes on, e-charge will give you the extra attack and when e-charge is finished, it will go back to your 12 attack.
Thats what I do.

I'm guess this is directed toward Brawlers-

As a Corsair, 12 attack pots are part of my buffs, pretty much. If it's a way to increase my damage, sure why not. Goggleemoticon

Yes, it's pretty much only arguable because of Energy Charge. Without energy charge using attack pots is a no-brainer.

The basic premise of the question stemmed off of the minute charge time where i didn't really think that spending 500k per 100 elixers was worth the time i would have actually benefiting from the attack. I realize this is how it works, i was just questioning it.

Never find much use for one. I still use them to calculate experience per hour, that's about it.
Energy charges quickly at Elder Wraiths too Mad WHY DOES NO MARAUDER LIKE ELDERS? Frown
[/cry]
Meh, I wouldn't say it's worth it, in the end I have a couple more mil than the next guy over who used attack pots Rolleyes

I would think WS would be better than SBs for close range, mob oriented classes, setting aside their weird kb issues
