Knuckle Combo %DPS Chart

Yes there's a delay, but I don't know how long. For the value LazyBui has in his thread, it can still be performed faster than spamming Shockwave, but I'm not sure how correct that is.

Now that I got lvl 1 barrage, I noticed a slight lag between continuous double upper -> barrage. It might just be because my windbooster isn't lvl 11.

What happens is double upper -> barrage -> double upper -> (delay) -> barrage.

Does lvl 11 wind booster get rid of the slight lag? I think I remember someone saying windbooster doesn't effect delays between attacks but it boosts attack animations. If that's the case, then lvl 11 wind booster will only make the delay seem longer. Could somone figure out the DPS of

Double upper -> barrage -> flash fist -> double upper -> barrage -> flash fist -> double upper -> barrage

Level 11 Wind Booster won't change how fast DU + Barrage is, at all. The delay is there because DU can finish before Barrage can cool down completely. Barrage + maxed Dragon Strike is your best bet for DPS when you don't have Energy Charge or Transform.

Ya I saw that, but I won't have dragon strike maxed for a while. I'm doin 11 wind booster -> 20 barrage -> 21 dragon strike -> maxed barrage.

Maybe ill do 21 dragon strike before 20 barrage iono. I could rely on drain for single target atks while I put points into dragon strike. I got time to decide lol. Its harder to experiment builds with 4th job than 3rd job.

20 and 30 plz. I'd like to compare that combo vs pure double upper -> barrage

Basically all flash fist does is replace that slight delay. With wind booster, flash fist casts so fast that it fits almost perfectly

Edit: I frapped both examples (double upper -> barrage) and (double upper -> barrage -> flash fist -> double upper -> barrage).

About the delay with Barrage + DU, yea I hate that too. It's no better with lv11+ SI. When I start to train again (taken a week off so far, going to be a little while longer) I'll go back to using backspin + D.Strike more and more often. Barrage is great 1v1 but the combo itself is fairly slow, so it does have it's limitations. For now I still generally just do DU - Barrage - Backspin if there's a 2nd around. D.Strike does make you take a lot more damage though, sadly. Also, if you're doing 20 barrage, why not 21? That last point will add 14% per hit instead of the usual 4, so you'll gain 140% total damage in the skill in doing that one point alone.

In case you run into problems getting a skillbook or other, I decided to cut 4th job skills off at 10 and 20 points. If you have 21, you might as well be maxing it in 3 levels, so.

Edit: Added Flash Fist to every DU + Barrage combo (seeing as FF fits completely inside Barrage's spamming delay time) and added no-stun values.

I was mostly referring to his proposed build, where he said he was leaving it at 20.

Aww, DU + Barrage + FF just HAS to outdamage Barrage + DS. pineapple Buccaneers and their habit of making DPS calculations complicated.

WoWWWWWWWWWW at energy drain being stronger than barrage 20. I think I'm gonna go Stransform build first, especially if barrage gets outdmgd so easily by a 3rd job skill. I'm gonna be 13x before my barrage outdmgs my drain .

I think im gonna get dragon strike 21 for training, then start doing demolition for bosses, and barrage after

If you can fit a DU and a FF inside Barrage's cooldown, then you can also fit not 2, but 3 ED's.

yah you're right, barrage is better than drain at non bosses due to critical. The thing is....... it attacks so slow that it actually slows me down even tho it's so strong. Dragon strike seems pretty useful to me though.

I usually do screw punch -> dragon strike -> back spin blow -> sommer sault -> dragon strike to a mob

when i got energy I do screw punch -> dragon strike -> blast -> backspin blow -> dragon strike

I'm most likely going with 11 wind booster -> 21 dragon strike -> demo/super transform.

can you spam snatch? i assumed there was delay, hence snatch + sw combo.

It has a delay equal to Energy Blast's delay.
