What? 'Final Fury' is NOT a Hi-Ougi / Mystic Arte! wtp?!?!?!

Long story short, I played Tales of Eternia, Symphonia, Phantasia, and I believe that's it. But, I got rather irked to find out that Regal used Final Fury as a Hi-Ougi? SINCE WHEN WAS THAT A HI-OUGI??! Farah used it, and it was considered as a normal skill, a chain of 'smaller skills', but it was still a normal skill! wtp! Also, Regal's Final Fury looks shorter and ...not as awesome.

PS: wtp is with Anise using Final Fury too? They need to stop listing it as a Hi Ougi, it makes it seem so much less special and awesome.

Reid, Farah, and Ras are characters FROM Tales of Eternia, yes. But the game itself is actually Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2.

Satsugeki Bukouken i.e. Fatal Fury by Farah. It was a Hi-Ougi in PSX Phantasia by Cless Alvein, and Abyss by Anise Tatlin, an Ougi in Destiny by Stahn Aileron, and a Kyouda by Farah. Kyouda are finishing attacks, Force I believe they were called in the English Eternia. Examples are Chi, and Twin Palm Strike. i.e. attacks that you must finish with, and cannot continue a combo on with the exception of Maximum Burst extension from Chi.

What Regal uses, however, is not the same skill. Regal's only Hi-Ougi is Garen Zesshuugeki, and I don't believe that was it, unless they added or changed it in Dawn of the New World.

Anyways. Regardless of whether Regal has a Hi-Ougi or not (he didn't in GCN version, only PS2), he sucks. Compared to Farah, he's complete garbage. All his attacks are pathetic, slow single target moves with poor range, and crappy travel distance. Most of his combos ruin themselves because they knock the enemy too far away to connect, or the enemy doesn't fit the proper size.

Anyways, I've always been a favourite of Hien Messhoujin (Crimson Devastation as it was in ToS2)

Just because of the sequence. Imagine if she was using a proper Devil's Arm, the Gaia Cleaver, or Bahamut's Tear (which is a damn sexy axe by the way).

They did change his Hi-Ougi, judging by ToS' animation in comparison to it's sequel. His attacks differs a lot, in the first, he jumped and kicked. In the 2nd one, it was a set of kicks. >_>;

Also, yes, Presea's Hi-Ougi is pretty sickening. <3 xD I'm also wondering, is Maximum Burst considered as a hidden or sacred-skill? Because it's not a skill that's just 'listed' in your skills-list. For Farah, you had to time it right after using Chi. I know this for sure because I unlocked every single one of her skills, the only one I had trouble performing was her Flame Dance, which was really sexy, btw. <3

I don't get how people can stand using Regal either, he IS slow, and I find it very hard to combo with him. :X It's interesting to know how so many Tales characters can use 'Final Fury'.

Flame Dance and Maximum Burst were her only Hi-Ougis, technically speaking, since Fatal Fury was not a Hi-Ougi in Eternia.

I hate that the PAL version of Tales Of Symphonia got so few hi ougis ._____.

Still pretty fun to kill Abby with Loyds Hi Ougi though <3

blah, Regal sucks anyway. No surprise he sucks more than the comparable character in another game. :p
