Would GMS work in other countries?
#1
Starting in early december, I'll be having holidays in China and I was wondering whether GMS would work in China (though I'd doubt it).

Will I be able to play GMS while at China?

Not without a proxy.

Considering China has their own MS version, probably not. Frown

Didn't someone here have to take a temporary quit from GMS because he went to China for a bit?

It depends. I believe they block all IPs from other countries that have their native versions. China would be included in this, so you would probably have to have a proxy.

That was B0wjob and he went to Hong Kong, in which they have HKMS now so... yeah. He just went flowsion and now that that's gone... Im not sure what he plays now though D: In context with this thread though, Im not sure if China is blocked but HK is.

I still have a few HK friends who still play so there are ways around it but... yeah.

As for the arguement that cause CHina has their own version, people in China cant play, look at the people in Europe. They have EMS yet the people with "old" accounts are still able to get on so who knows what they have in China. Best way to do it is if someone in China can tell us =X

Well at least I still have a week of playing MS before I leave for a month...

If your account is pretty old you might as well give it a shot. People from Europe are also able to enter accounts from before the European Ban. Though you probably won't be lucky, as I think pretty much all Asian versions got released before gMS. That way they gMS can just block all of them out from the start.
