Equipment Upgrading!

[COLOR="Magenta"]So I stopped playing my 136 I/L around mid-June.
I'm back now, and want to look into upgrading my equips, considering they're all kind of mediocre..

I'm from Mardia, to give you an idea of what FM I'm looking at, and I've got about 133mil, but I think I'll have more once I finish selling all of my chaos scrolls. Now I've ask a few friends, and all they tell me is to get all reverse items and raise my luk. I respectfully disagree, but then again, I don't know everything there is now.

The most obvious suggestion would be to invest in an Elemental Staff 3 or Elemental Wand 3/7. An Elemental Weapon would provide the biggest boost to your damage so it should definitely be your top priority. I'm not sure how easy they are to find in Mardia though, but EWand3 is roughly 100m in Bera which is perfectly in your price range.

What I would do is scroll your Shield and Cape for LUK (cap at 126) then get all Reverse armor.

First get a Dragon Staff/Wand or Elemental Staff and scroll it, your luck is nearly high enough to equip them. Then finish your earrings. Make a better overall and shoes via Maker, using an intermediate (advanced if you are willing to spend the money) Int crystal. Then finish scrolling your glove. From here you can try to get a better Purple Adventure Cape or scroll your overall, whichever would grant the most stats per meso.

I agree with getting an Elemental Weapon, that would be great towards your overall damage. Using Maker for new equips would be a nice idea too, shouldn't be too expensive if you have an ore collection .

Don't raise your luk yet. With 80 base, you may even be able to wear a 163 E-Staff someday, without raising your luk (though it would be hard).

Get a 103 E-Staff or 130 E-Wand first. That multiplier to your damage is insanely helpful.

I would start Makering some equips. You should start training at Skeles soon, if you're not already there, and you'll get a LOT of wisdom crystal ores. With those, you should be able to Make some intermediate-wis overall and shoes for a couple mil, and maybe even throw advanceds on there if you get lucky and get some.

I think your cape is fine. Might think about an earring upgrade, but then again, those start getting expensive fast once you get past 6/11 or so. Your gloves are fine, too.

Do you have a belt currently? If not, I'd start Dojoing. It's pretty easy to get 300 points a day or so, which should get you to a Blue Belt in short order. Scroll that with 100% scrolls, or wait for a Red Belt if the points are rolling in relatively fast.

Reverse armor is too expensive for you at the moment, especially if you're buying the PoTs and not finding them. But it's a good option to aim for once you get more "free" luk (not coming at the expense of scrolling for int) from things like a belt, glasses, and perhaps an eventual egged HT pendant, which is probably a lot harder for you in Mardia than it was for me in Bera.

But anyways, I wouldn't raise your luk, it's perfect for an Estaff3 (the level 103 one.) I'm in the same server as you and I haven't seen many Estaff3s in the fm, but a couple Ewand7s (The level 160 one) that are around 400m or so. Assuming you have more than 2 chaos scrolls, that'd be more than enough to get one (:
With maker, you could make some really badass shoes and gloves that would come out to a higher int clean than the ones you have now and it's relatively inexpensive to make the items. Your cape is fine, but I'd upgrade your earrings. I haven't really seen the price for Earring Int scrolls in Mardia, so I can't really say whether that'd be in your budget.
In terms of a HT pend, I'd just concentrate on getting a better M.atk MON. There are a lot of guilds and groups now that would just charge 3 or 4 apples for you to go with them, or you can go with your friends and just get one for free! Plus, HT pends are what, 350m atm from 2 groups? >:
If you want a cheaper alternative to scrolling your shield, get a clean Maple Magician shield. It'd have 1-2 more int than your current esther shield.
Also, it's really easy to get a yellow or blue belt on an arch mage. Just summon ifrit and get through the first couple stages without pressing any keys (: And a belt would add a bit more int too.
But yeah, as an Arch mage, your wand/staff would be the most important. The difference in damage is eye opening. Even if the M.atk for the elemental weapon is lower than your Blue Marine, your damage would still be higher because of the 25% elemental damage increase. So, make sure to get the ice ones!
