Could pot help California's economy?

hmmm well I watched that documentary on marijuana 101 where they had that Pot class in one of the suburbs in California(forgot the name of the show). It was very interesting..It's legal in California (state law) but illegal federal law. I'm on the fence w/ this one really. Yes it could help out if it was being taxed, but that tax would be incredibly big(i think) & a lot of people wouldn't want to buy the product if they couldn't get it 'street' priced.
