Uh, how many Blizzard games have you played? SC I and BW had far better plotlines than WoL did. Diablo didn't have a very good presentation of the storyline in I and II, but it's fairly interesting lore nonetheless. Warcraft has always been more lighthearted than SC or Diablo, but II and III had excellent stories as well, though WoW's been running for so long that they've had to get pretty ridiculous just to keep it interesting. Wings of Liberty had great presentation of the story, and I loved the cutscenes, but the storyline was not very deep. Everyone fit their archetypal roles like a glove and there was zero character development.

At the same time, I felt that character development in SC1 were a little too steep. Mengsk transition from a freedom fighting benefactor to absolute tyrant happens over the span of 2 missions. And Kerrigan's development was pretty much explained by her infestation. No real moral dilemmas, only a simple "cry for help" while in crysallis.
BW was a little better though. Have to fault the terran campaign considering how gullible DuGalle was. What kind of general decides to trust some new recruit from the remnants of an old regime after the span of a few months over their most trusted admiral. HotS seems to remedy SCII's linear development, but I still feel that fans are gonna hate on it because Kerrigan's no longer queen peach of the universe but a human being that has moral dilemmas over mass killing, and has to deal with hatred spawning from two different races while she herself doesn't remember what she specifically did to them.

4 days left till MLG providence, woo!
I'm cheering for IdrA and HuK myself, but in general i just hope for an epic tournament

Looking forward to another non-korean dominant tourney xD Go non Korean players!
I always like seeing zerg players and Terran players play. If i was any good, I'd play Zerg more, but they're too APM required for me at the moment.

Almost all players at Providence are from North America or Korea. Europe is highly underrepresented due to Dreamhack. The chance of a foreigner champion is much lower.

Can't wait to head back to the Montreal Barcraft. It'll be nice to see a foreign hope win it all though. Kinda weird to see a Korean be crowned American Champion (MLG is an American tournament after all)

Europe brings a lot of strong players but I have faith in Huk and Idra to bring the pain!!

Dreamhack starting tomorrow
![]() I want to see if naniwa can keep up his dominance and i'm hoping IdrA will do great again! But i am honestly personally hoping for another HuK Dreamhack win ![]() Hoping that i can get my friend over for saturday to watch the final with me!

That feel when you're laddering and you three games in a row forget an overlord and supply cap yourself and your opponent wins with like 4 roaches
![]() pineapple i should stop making that mistake, it's always right after i grab my +1 attack >_< i have the cash for it, playing against a lot of diamonds lately though, hoping i'll be promoted soon

Sorry for the double post, but watching the NASL and saw a picture from idra's red carpet walk and it made me laugh quite a lot.

Sheth vs Puma was really good. jjakji vs Leenock is fucking amazing though.

Dunno if anyone caught the Blizzard Cup final, but I have to say that was the best way to end off the 2011 tournament run.

*brushes off spiderwebs* Well, here hasn't been someone in ages here.
Let me start with a personal story: I finally started my placement matches, and I got ranked in Gold! I expected high Bronze/low Silver, so I'm pleasantly surprised with the result. ^^ Also, today starts Dreamhack Summer Open 2012, any person you are specifically rooting for this tournament?

Welp. Quote:We are preparing to invite testers for the Heart of the Swarm beta very soon! To be clear, this test will be for the multiplayer experience only. We will begin with a select group, including many players who assisted us in testing Patch 1.5, as well as some pro-gamers and press. Over time, we will add more and more testers into the mix.
