I find this kind of scary. In the future some rogue state might decide its far easier to invent some new disease to terrorize the world rather than to develop the bomb.

AIDS, Anthrax, and back during the mongol invasion (or rather i should just say their campaign on conquest and destruction, more fitting) of the middle east, they would come down the the black death, and fling the corpses with the disease over the walls of a city port before taking it over. resulted in the plague spreading to Europe. Also, there was the Sarin gas incident in japan. basically, you dont even need a nation to go rogue and do this, all it takes is a motivated (group of) individual(s). |
