Southperry takes a f'uckton of time to load.

It's been bugging me for a while that SP, mostly on Firefox 3.6 and IE takes a fu'cking lot of time to load. Every other page works awesomely well, as they should. It's strange because downloading a file shells out a 100 kbps download speed, while I'm stuck frozen on the main forum page for like 5 minutes until it stops loading. Trying to access a thread, a particular forum or just searching for the new posts makes it unbearable to even try to browse the forums.

Any ideas on why is this happening? Does anyone else have the same problem?

Having this problem too. Do not like.

Took 5 minutes from clicking "Reply to Thread" for this to get here.

I had to change apache to allow fewer connections. This will make sure the server stays stable, but slow, until I can figure out the source of the slowness. At least it's not white-screening every five minutes.

I assume it's running faster for everyone now?

Yeah, it's pretty much faster now. No idea on what you did, but thanks anyway Paul.
