Super lag since last patch

I never exit maple, i afk unless i know a patch is coming (with my fame me sign up....)

so, maple had a SC, so i start up the game and sign in.

it works perfectly for a few mins, but then i DC.

\When i log back in, I can move, but cannot attack or use skills. The monsters stopped moving, but i can see others moving and the messages they type. Also, rarely, there are split seconds where I can attack/talk, but they are few and far between, and those are the only times i can use portals.

Please help me.. This has never happened before, but is now making the game unplayable

I have played maple fine for about a year and nothing has changed at all... O.O

Maybe your ISP has screwed up. Mine at least messes up twice a year and everything gets really slow for an entire weekend or something.

Try redownloading the game and restarting your computer. If that doesn't work, post your connection from pingtest.net and speedtest.net.

Try logging into a different channel. There are people on SW complaining about similar problems. Not just you.

restarted, uninstalled programs, sped up system... still large lag

off topic: Does win 7 work better with maple than vista?

I had to reconnect to the wifi before I can do anything online. However, if I used the internet other than Maple, the connection doesn't drop at all... >>

Sort of related: I used to get that too, where everything would just slow down until I lag out. Fortunately for me, it was hours between connection though each time I re-established connection again, the time shortens until it was less than two hours or something. Usually, it's my internet dropping and I'll have to reset the modem to get the connection back again. And this was during the first artifact hunt so I played like that until it was over. I still managed to get enough points to stay in the rankings however... xP

Reinstalled maple, nothing changed.... seriously... wtp am i supposed to do

Some of my guildies and buddies have this problem at varying degrees. One couldn't play at all yesterday (going in a portal disconnected him), but today he can except for certain channels that he can't connect to (trying to cc ends up disconnecting). Another could play in most channels yesterday too, but can't go in cash shop (disconnects). etc.

Since all channels as well as cash shop are working fine for other people, my guess is it's some kind of routing mess-up on the way from you to Nexon's servers in California.

I would try ping'ing the addresses of the servers you connect to, and calling your ISP with the results.

Another thing I can think of it that maybe the connection might be spazzing since the check. I know sometimes after a server check or patch, I'll have problems playing Maple. Once or twice, it's so bad, I stop playing until the next check/patch and that usually fixes it. Any other online activity/games have lag issues or is it just Maple?

Ah, I mean that if you play other online games on the computer besides Maple that is also experiencing lag? Or is it just Maple you play?

ok, i am relatively glad that its not me, i had no idea what is going on but i do have the same problem that you do. for reference i live in the Dominmcan Republic, where in the world are you guys located?
