xBox, not 360. I remember playing it about 8 years ago. I was in 3rd grade, so it had to have been out by spring of '02.
Protagonist has blue skin, black hair, but is otherwise human. He uses a metal Polearm in combination with elemental thingies you collect in game to deal damage to monsters. The general setting for the game was in a jungley place, from what I remember. Not sure about tech.
