An old friend...
#1
So just yesterday, I got a call from my old buddy, 'Wade'. He and me went to Middle School together back when I lived in another town. I met him in 7th grade, and we were the best of friends til 8th grade. Once I moved, I heard it wasn't the same for the guy. So anyways, as I was saying, he called me, and he told me that he's now engaged, and he has a kid. He has a wedding coming up somewhere in California, and he wants me to come. I told him "That'd be great and all, but I don't have the money, man.", and he proceeded to tell me "No problem, dude! F**k, I'll pay for your travel expenses, I got GPS, so if you don't come, I'll track your ass down, haha!".

So yeah, he wants me to come to his wedding, which will be in 2 months. I don't know if I'll be his best-man, but we were fucking close friends. Back during middle-school, I came to his house at 5 AM and played fucking Digimon World until 6:30 AM, I ate breakfast at his house, and we hung out after school. He'd go to my house and have a bowl of Ramen every once in a while.

As always, we used to be the best of buddies. Once he got my telephone number (from his mom, I found his mom on MySpace after looking through some of my friend's contact list), and he sounded very excited to hear me.

Anyways, basically-put, it was a great feeling to hear the voice of an old friend. This may have been over almost 6 years ago, but his voice is still the same. Can't wait to see my old buddy at his wedding!

That's awesome! Is he really paying your expenses?

It's really sweet to have a good friend like, especially being apart for so long. Figure it's someone you can really rely on.

Why does this story sound so familiar? I think I've read the same story once already.

Uh, dunno. Because this actually happened to me. o_o Just yesterday, actually.

@DitOwnsYou: I see you understand, and yeah, it is indeed a great feeling. He told me he was planning on paying for my expenses, but we'll see when the time comes! ^.^

You'd better go. If he has GPS, he might track you down, screenshot you and post you on Southperry. Have fun at the wedding!
