How are they obtained? Do you have to reach a certain part of the PQ? Do you have to beat it a certain number of times? I cant seem to find much info on this.

You have to get a certain amount of points from attempting the raid to get belts. You get more points the farther you get.

So then its possible to get the best belt without ever defeating the final boss if you just farm the low end portion of it?

Otherwise the belts wouldn't be like 25, 35, etc. They'd be 115, 125, 135 and other levels that could get past manon o_o. But farming it is a pain in the ass.

Unfortunately, each time you get a belt, there's like a huge amount more of points til the next one. 1st is 200, next is 1800 (which takes a crapload of time).

it's stupid to just farm the lower levels if you're able to kill the higher levels though. each group of stages inbetween checkpoints gives a higher number of MLPQ points as you progress further.

Yep, and even the final boss is only worth a few points (like 7? I think) so even if you can do the whole thing in one go it's going to take you a few hundred runs to get the best belt.
Fortunately, getting lower belts doesn't remove the points, so you don't have to worry about saving them. If you get a belt and then destroy it with chaos scrolls or sell it with Karma Scissors, you'll need to reset your points to get it again, so using chaos scrolls on high level belts is an extremely dangerous idea.

Chaos scrolls destroy items? Or does kMS have chaos scrolls other than the 60% ones we have in gMS?

Cyanne Wrote:Chaos scrolls destroy items? Or does kMS have chaos scrolls other than the 60% ones we have in gMS?yeah they destroy items. They have 60% activation and 40% destruction. That's why they're so dangerous, because not only do you have the 40% destruction, but part of the 60% "success" is the potential to reduce stats. There's a really high chance you're going to come out of it with a useless item or nothing.

Are you sure that that happens in gMS? I've never heard of anything being destroyed by a failed chaos scroll, and I've personally failed two before without breaking.

Wow. Anyone knows the stats of the belts? Btw, what are those "Cookie Belts" things in the kMS data?

I assume that belts take up an equipment slot, as there's no belt section in the GMS equipment menu. I've personally never heard of belts before. o-o

True, I was talking more along the lines of on the character itself but you make a good point.
