can any of pirates job use shiled?

both knuckles and guns are two-handed weapons. you can't use a shield with either of them.

Well, I heard that bare fists [no weapon equipped] counts as a 1-handed knuckle. So you could use a shield with that?

Or if you make a pirate using 1h common equip weapons(like Purse's or umbrella's or w/e) then you get both shield atk bonus + weapon atk, wich is normally higher then knuckle. But its still only useful first job, and a little ways into second, before the attacks require you to have a knuckle equipped.

All the gun animations are single handed, doesn't make sense for them to be two handed...I want to use a shield with a gun. If they are making us be two handed they need to make some rifles or shotguns or something.

Hold a shield with a gun in real life and you totally won't be shot by whoever you're shooting. Not like that shield is going to stop anything either.

Seriously, att shields would unbalance that class so easily it's fucking ridiculous.

Even if that was valid at all, you dont steady your aim with a flintlock, flintlock pistols are so inaccurate you could secure it to a tripod to keep it steady and you still wont aim straight.

Plus, if you have ever held a shield in real life, you would know that reloading wouldn't be a big deal. There is two sections to a shield handle, the first you loop your arm into, the second you hold with your hand. you can easily let the shield rest on your arm while you use your now free hand to reload. Front line Riot officers are sometimes equipt with riot shields, and fire their pistols with one hand. This is only valid in this case because its easy to aim at a target with one hand at super close range, which is the only time you should be using pistols anyway.

Not that you reload in maple, anyway.

Well, brawlers could conceivably use a wristguard type of shield.

But really, maple and real life are not related. Both types of pirate weapons are 2handed by fiat.
