MMORPG's interview with Min Kim
#1

Min Kim, Vice President of NEXON America was recently interviewed by Garrett Fuller of MMORPG about Nexon's future. Three items of interest is that Nexon is aiming to use the Blockparty site to make their games much more accessible. This probably means a overhaul of their web interface. Nexon also aims to release 2 more games in the future: Dragon Nest and Mabinogi Heroes. IMO, Nexon America might be spreading themselves a little bit thin by making so many games. While it seems to be a good idea to tap into as many fanbases as they can, this might actually backfire and end up diluting their current player base.

Too bad we'll all be dead in 2012Frown

On topic: Think there trying a bit too hard to pull in an audience, but then again, they had maple as its only game for 3? years. I'm not really sure how to weigh on this one, every thing needs to go through a bit of a change after a while, but their goals my fall short if all they plan to change is their domain name Goggleemoticon

I really think Nexon is going to spread themselves thin, but this interview yeilded nothing interesting for me, I do look forward to giving Dragon Nest a try when they bring it over though.

...they should just concentrate on Maplestory and do a good job on it instead of doing a bad job on 5 games. It's not like anyone buys the nx crap of the other games, anyways...

I take it you dont play any of the other games, Mabinogi is a big seller, and all items in DFO will be gachapon based, so expect that to be a decent seller as well, iTCG is probably a lost effort imo, and I dont know how well Combat arms is doing NX wise either.
