what should I get for my friends birthday? - Horusmaster - 2009-01-28 2 of my friends birthday are coming up Feb 4th and Feb 14th. and I don't really know what to get them. I've already agreed to attend both of their parties. for the first guy we've been best friends since gr 10, but he moved to another school this year. He never hosted birthday parties before and he never asked for any presents. What we did before during his birthday was giving him birthday beats and I treated him for dinner. Reason he's hosting one now is because he wants to see all his old friends. I really don't know what to give him, i'm coming to his birthday and I need to give him something... and I know he doesn't like to get expensive presents, something around $20 is good enough. for the 2nd guy, we just became friends this year. He truly impressed me with everything he do. He's the only friend that encouraged me to work harder while my other friends just go like "screw this, let's just chill". He actually even helped me study more, and regained my interest in doing challenging math questions. Without him, I wouldn't have gotten 100% in my last physics test, and boosted my advanced function mark from 80% to 88%. He's a unique friend. I really want to give him a meaningful present. I think I have an idea of what to get him. He seems to be interested in the iPod Touch which another friend got from his sister for christmas. He said "wow your sister gave u some really expensive present, I wish I had a big sister like yours" to the other friend. Maybe I should get him that for his birthday. but i've never given anyone else birthday presents that cost over $100 and this present is going to be almost $300. will it seem awkward for you to give such expensive present? but out of all these hours that he helped me, i think he deserve such expensive present. what should I get for my friends birthday? - Holikoy - 2009-01-28 If you're going to give him something big, might want to ask his parents to make sure they're not giving him the iPod touch already. As for gift ideas, I suck. what should I get for my friends birthday? - Horusmaster - 2009-01-28 Holikoy Wrote:If you're going to give him something big, might want to ask his parents to make sure they're not giving him the iPod touch already. yea i'll make sure other friends are not buying him that. No need to ask for his parents, cause they give really crap presents to him for christmas... This kinda bring into another point, what if I give sth better than what his parents give him? would his parents be pissed? cause my parents always buys me the most expensive present compared to my friends. what should I get for my friends birthday? - Nikkey - 2009-01-28 Why would they be pissed? I personally give gifts to my friends which they need. One of my friends was mad because she couldn't recharge her MP3-player without having the comp on. Quite the pain when she's sleeping at the time she's home and/or not using the MP3. I found an USB-to-outlet converter, best gift ever. what should I get for my friends birthday? - heronz - 2009-01-28 i'll tell you what not to get: 1) nx gift card for 20 dollars 2) show him Maplestory and/or WOW. watch them grades and marks go down exponentially. (ironically, you can use advance math to process the rate of decline) what should I get for my friends birthday? - Retalion - 2009-01-28 For the first friend, I'd say give him something that'll remind him of you guys (as in the group of friends he's invited). It seems that there would be nothing better than to see his friends on his birthday so that in itself is a good enough present. As for something material, perhaps you could collaborate with your other friends and make him a photo album or scrapbook with pictures of fun times you guys have done together? As for the second friend, I agree that the ipod touch would be pretty expensive. Perhaps you could arrange with his other friends to say each chip in 20-30 dollars (assuming there's 10ish of you guys) and then buy him one together. Then again, what do I know? Im horrible at giving gifts. I usually throw people starbucks gift cards or I just compose them a song and let them name it >_> It would probably help if you listed what interests they had. Reading your descriptions, you really know nothing about the person and really just your relationship with them. |
