1. It's a huge coincidence
2. The music director for Sonic 3 copied the song.
3. Ice Cap's theme is such an over-remixed song that it actually went back in time.

Mmhm. The key was to only spin dash enough so that you didn't launch too high and waste time before the wall crushed you.
