Iranian Ninjas
Thousand of Iranian women are taking their fight against the infidels to a new level. Thousands of them are training to become Ninjas, the ancient Japanese stealth assassins who use swords, martial arts and throwing stars to neutralize their enemies.
The Atlantic is reporting that more than 3500 Iranian women are donning the ninja outfit and taking part in the intensive training. The program is being hailed as a massive attempt at womens equality.

The Iranian regimes 33-year quest to make Iranian women weak and helpless, to force them into child-like subservience, has failed. Though we in the West often perceive them this way because the hijab and the chador are all we see on the surface, women in Iran are stronger collectively and more assertive individually than the Islamic Republic would have us believe.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is in the news a lot these days with their quest to develop nuclear weapons. The media is always contemplating the idea of sanctions, military intervention and international war with Iran, but what is lost is the female perspective of the Shiite nation.
Women in Iran have a 42% unemployment rate, are required to dress modestly by law and are subject to beating and even stonings for adultery. Their fight takes a back seat to what is going on in Iran.During the Green protests for democracy last year in Iran, women were even killed for going out to protest the regime.

Well, actually... the black uniforms were for sneaking around at night, which is what Ninjas were for. They were like our Navy Seals (except WAY weaker) - they would sneak into towns/villages at night and take out their targets as swiftly and quietly as possible. The black clothing was so they would never be seen.
I have no freaking idea why these people think THEY should be clothed in black or even why they should call themselves Ninjas. They're quite the opposite of what a Ninja was.

They weren't they were blue uniforms. Assassins don't dress like anything but a normal person, ninja's were about stealth and black actually stood out, so they wore a dark blue.

hmm, intriguing. From my understanding, the stagehands in Noh theatre wore all-black to obscure them from the scenes, and thats where the whole "black clothes and invisibility" thing spawned from, and hollywood perpetuated the whole thing of them always wearing black and slinking about in the night because of the rule of cool. *shrug*
Granted not much is known for their historical origins and by no means am I an expert on the matter.
