Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Tr0jan - 2008-11-01 1. we do have hackers in GMS. 2. yeah they are a bit annoying. 3. there are quite a lot of hackers in GMS atm. Nexon know how to work against hackers Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - KatanaKiwi - 2008-11-01 how are they annoying? i have never seen one but maybe thats because i only train at either bigfoot, guardians or skele. i thought only hackers could reach them Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Tr0jan - 2008-11-01 Darkfaith Wrote:If it like you said, why we dont get them? Nexon know how to work against hackers yeah and legits in the same time. if u ask me we dont get them cuz it wont do much help anyway , hackers can just go hack on different maps. between you and me, nexon relying way too much on their auto ban system, and hardly doing anything in game to stop hackers which is really sad. the only time that u actually see GM's online is for their dumb useless events. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Kevin0215 - 2008-11-01 IMO they can't hurt. Sometimes the threat of getting caught is enough to keep people from doing something. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Myles - 2008-11-01 IIRC, some of them are off-map, and will only be brought on-map by a hacker. If you hit them, you get taken back to town. What I don't understand is, why is there one at Zombies. Who the hell hacks at zombies? not enough spawn there for hackers. they should put one in a Master/ Platoon/Chronos map Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Combattente - 2008-11-01 I made a post some time ago: http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1762 But it's dead so it's good to start a new one I think. Yeah, I think there should be bot-catching monsters, simply because they're fun. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Five Second Pose - 2008-11-01 They drop monster book cards, and I don't think Nexon wants to pineapple around with the monster book. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Bacon - 2008-11-01 I'd be completely okay with them if they dropped some rare equips or something... Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Alloy - 2008-11-01 They are just like any other boss monster, only that not a boss, and using an alternate way to kill it. In my opinion, I think it could be fun. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - ZYXWVUT - 2008-11-01 They're not off-map. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - KajitiSouls - 2008-11-01 Either my data reading skills aren't 1337 enough, or according to Fiel's uploaded data, the Lich monster doesn't even spawn o.O For that matter, I don't believe I have even seen a single bot-catching monster in-game. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Cyanne - 2008-11-01 I don't think the hacking situation in global is bad enough to have them now, but Nexon might as well put them in now in anticipation for a new widespread hack. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - IsaacGS - 2008-11-01 They're not designed to stop hacking, they're designed to stop botters. That's why they're called bot-catching monsters. GMS has never had a real problem with botting (except in conjunction with hacking) so they really wouldn't do much for us. We might get them some time anyway though, a lot of the destruction mechanisms are in place already. and if Z wasn't clear enough, they all spawn on-map, normally, without having to be dragged there by hackers. They have a blue notice just like Area Bosses, so you don't have to worry about accidentally attacking one in your mobbing. Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - haha01haha01 - 2008-11-01 the thing is, hackers became so good that they can just "avoid" these monsters (e.g. vaccing them off map). also, question to isaac: if you miss the bot catching monster, do you still get sent to town? Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - Cyanne - 2008-11-01 I meant hacking + botting since nobody really bots without hacking in global while killing monsters anyways, except for maybe clerics. It was made for KMS, and KMS has bigggggg botting problems. The bots are so advanced they can pass lie-detectors and some of them can even get rid of these bot-catching monsters now. Also, offtopic, why is isaacs sig always straching my screen =\ Bot catching monsters, they necessary in GMS? - ZYXWVUT - 2008-11-01 There are ways to kill them without being sent back to town. They involve NPCs or things you have to whack. |
