An Android Question - Zelkova - 2011-10-05

Hiya,

I recently replaced my rooted 2.1 Droid with a Droid X. Upon completing my initial setup I updated to the highest ofw, this turned out to be 2.3.3 Gingerbread.

Out of curiosity I tried to update my dads Droid 2... only to find that his phones current ofw was 2.2.2.

Anyone have any idea why this would be? The X came out before the Droid 2.

Thanks~

Basically Motarolla hasnt coded the OS update to be to that level yet. It could be the same stuff in it already, and one just had an extra patch, or something.

I'm pretty sure the Gingerbread update for the Droid 2 has been pushed out, but maybe it hasn't hit your area yet?
