Profession Changes (Early?) - Chilly - 2011-09-29
Many of us know about the Profession Revamp coming in the Legends patch, but what changes were expected in Jump? I wasn't expecting any, nor had I read about anything in our Tespia thread. But lo and behold, a sneak change not mentioned anywhere.
You now have virtually unlimited Fatigue, that's right! But how? Fatigue potions no longer have a limit to consumption. Also, did you ever want to be a bear, yep, you can do that too, new -50 fatigue reducer. Both potions have dropped in price, though I can't figure out why you'd drink Bears when the 100K variety is cheaper. Note: I only tested Fatigue potions to the 6th one, so there still might be a limit somewhere, just not one I got to.
You can still only enter the mines once a day. Any other factoids you professionals might have?
Edit: Diligence now clearly excludes "Special Scrolls" from the scrolling bonus.
Edit 2: Veins "respawn" faster, i.e. you no longer have to cycle a mines map, just alternate between a pair. I think this may have been compensated for by increasing the "cooldown" on mining. The rate of Fatigue used dropped from a range of 84-88 Fatigue per 10 minutes in mine to 61-67. It seems slower.
TL;DR - You are no longer hampered by Fatigue, Fatigue reduction potions can be consumed as many times as wanted.

That's great lol. More meso sinks as people make 3 level 10 mules of every profession and create all of the best stuff now that drop rates are through the roof on literally every rare recipe in the game for the first time in history.

you simply must be smoking something sir, this is hardly sinking any meso at all. the price of 1 silent crusader shoulderpad far outstrips the total meso consumed getting all 3 professions to level 10 unless you specifically buy the most expensive gear you can find for fusing.

Well the -fatigue potions are a meso sink. So are the mount planes that they put out for mesos as well.

Not that much of a meso sink at 100k meso per 30 fatigue.
Compare to 1m meso per 10 fatigue it was before.

Only obstacle now is the amount of ingredients required. Hundreds of Adamantium plates to get from level 4 to 10.

Can it remove a moderate amount of meso from the game? Yes? Then it's a meso sink. It's likely the people who would actually use the things are going to use more than one of them.

I would agree if it weren't for the fact you can get that 100k / 150k back in a few minutes, especially with the "Knights of Virtue" event going on and you can get like 300k+ just from doing that in ToT.
The 150k for the Airplane is for 7 days, so that's already extremely negligible.

Yes i would also know what "special scrolls" fall under. I know 100% that 10% and 60% scrolls are not but after that not sure. dark scrolls(most likelt dont fall under the catagore), chaos scrolls, potential & enhancement( im sure if one is a special so is the other), pink scrolls, clean slate scrolls?

I was unaware the fatigue pots were lowered in price, but as long as you get 3 10 professions and go out of your way to make all the best things for those jobs, you are sinking meso. (android/hearts, +stat pots, etc) Whether it's as much as it would have been pre-revamp is irrelevant. You're still sinking meso, and that character still has to get a crusader pad.

Yet I can get 150k by NPCing a couple equips on my level 50 evan.
In the meantime, I have less than 100m on my main, and maybe another 10m on all my other chars.
Main account got indefinitely suspended for charging too much nx credit.

Yeah, but at least you're able to buy stuff that cost that much or more. on multiple occasions. I've only ever bought one item that cost 500+ in my lifetime lol.
