So, Southperry, a monsterbook question. - Eliseo - 2011-09-16

Which is better, the 1% all stats 15% ignore monster def (Does it even stacks or works?) from the Crusader Set

OR

the 2% magic +10 magic def from the Aqua Road Set?

Thank you for your wise answers.

The 2% magic. i read yesterday that codex ignore defense doesn't actually do anything.

As far as I know, it's been determined that monsterbook ignore def does not work.

Also, 1% all stat is usually less than 1% attack/magic (or damage), unless you have no %mainstat on any of your gear.
So, go with 2% magic.

Oh, for weapon attack weilding classes...

Zakum, or Leafre?

Again, assuming ignore def doesn't work, Leafre set is fairly useless (unless you're at the beginning of 4th job and there's a skill you haven't maxed that gives more than 2% more damage with one level increase).

The question is, Zakum (2% attack) or Von Leon (1% attack, 1% total damage).

Didn't some posters say monster book's total damage didn't work either?
So Zakum for weapon attacking classes, Aqua for magic classes.

I can confirm that none of the ignore defense set bonuses in the codex work.

Zakum or Aqua Road sets are best to use for now.

im a 170 mech blingin leafre set because the all skills lets me max every previous job skill AND im making use of 6 of the bonus points in 4th job.

thats 6% damage on amp bot since it was the last thing i maxed... and will be 3% on mw when i level a couple more times

and IF they ever make the pdr ignore work, itll be an even more ridiculous set. also, if the set bonuses leveled up properly zak, hoblin/crusader, or von leon sets would be worth considering over leafre, but with whats supposed to be 3%s being only 1%s, leafre beats the hell out of them.

"Ignore DEF %" and "Total Damage %" don't work at the moment, so the best sets are Zak and Empress.
