Inspired by Loose - Baklava - 2011-08-03 Thanks guys. :3 I have a playable version of my old game that I made for a class. If you guys wanna play it, I can upload it if you want. I made it in game maker, lol. Also, anyone know a cheap easy program that makes GIF animations and stuff? Tried paint.net but it's really confusing. :/ Inspired by Loose - ShinkuDragon - 2011-08-03 i'll be honest, when i read "inspired by loose" i expected breasts, not dissappointed though, they are pretty nice and greatly shaded and use animation shop, i find it the best for this kind of gifs Inspired by Loose - Rob - 2011-08-03 upload it dammit Inspired by Loose - Loose - 2011-08-03 Rob Wrote:upload it dammit. Inspired by Loose - Baklava - 2011-08-04 Okay, it's here. Downroad It's got 3 levels filled with bad collision detection, extremely simple gameplay, and a story that we made up at 3 AM the night before it was due. ![]() New walking animation. I tried to go with a Paper Mario style for it, lol. Inspired by Loose - Rob - 2011-08-04 Baklava Wrote:Okay, it's here. It gets stuck everywhere, but the idea is pretty cool bro. Inspired by Loose - Loose - 2011-08-04 Idea's good, the character is awesome. The getting stuck everywhere problem is because of the uneven terrain, it tends to do that. : P Another problem I had was trying to distinguish what's good, what's bad, what's a platform and what's not. The getting stuck everywhere problem is because of the uneven terrain, it tends to do that. : P Yeah that was a problem that had something to do with Game Maker's poor basic collision detection. Things that move = bad. D: I'm planning to use either Flixel or FlashPunk for the game I'm gonna re-make it as, but I'm not sure which one is more user friendly or has more potential. Inspired by Loose - Loose - 2011-08-04 FlashPunk is simpler. Flixel has more potential. Then there's Stencyl, I haven't used that, though. Inspired by Loose - Tay - 2011-08-04 Aww man now I wanna go and be creative. This is awesome chris, you should post the GIFs you made for people on EF. Inspired by Loose - Zelkova - 2011-08-04 o.o *flys over fucking everything by hitting shift repeatedly* Inspired by Loose - Baklava - 2011-08-05 Loose Wrote:FlashPunk is simpler. Flixel has more potential. I used Flixel a long time ago and I got as far as a UI before my computer had crashed on me and I quit it, lol. I'll try out FlashPunk and Stencyl I guess! Tay Wrote:Aww man now I wanna go and be creative.I lost those when my computer crashed. ![]() Zelkova Wrote:o.oYUP THAT'S WHAT YOU CAN DO... Here's the girl. ![]() I think I made her way too adorable... /shameless <3 Inspired by Loose - Baklava - 2011-08-06 Random test background. I wanted to have a big story, but I feel like it'd be too complicated for this kind of game. :<
Inspired by Loose - aslemn - 2011-08-06 A big story'd be amazing! If you can't fit a huge story on a game like that, do it in the beginning scenes or the ending. You can try adding more life to the water, by adding some light blue traces, white traces, and dark blue traces. :o Inspired by Loose - Loose - 2011-08-06 Yup, definitely needs more light blue (almost white) lines, from where it reflects the moon. Like the concept, though! |
