[Movie] Byousoku 5 Centimeter - Hanabira.Kage - 2011-04-24 Has anyone here watched this yet? I just did, and it's quite a heart-wrenching tale of star-crossed lovers. Though it really isn't as tragic as Romeo & Juliet, I found it to be very sad. I don't want to spoil anything for you guys if you haven't watched it yet. It's just a little over an hour long, and is split into 3 episodes (the first two being about 25 minutes each and the third being 14). In any case, it's a really good movie and I really recommend it. There's even a manga of it, though there have only been two chapters scanlated so far. Check it out. _____________ Sometimes Life throws you all sorts of obstacles and gets in your way. - - - Sometimes Love seems to fail. - - - - - Sometimes Time can be the cruelest of things... The Place Promised in Our Early Days is a work of art I tell ya. [Movie] Byousoku 5 Centimeter - Takebacker - 2011-04-24 I started watching it since it was short but i got bored 2/3rds of the way in. [Movie] Byousoku 5 Centimeter - EarthAdept2 - 2011-04-24 Is this the 5 Centimeters per second? I remember like 5 years ago or something back when stage 6 was still alive. The anime section for sw.net was b'awing so much over this movie. I wanted to watch it but then stage 6 shut down. I do want to watch it though. Oh yeah, and I own the manga of "Hoshi no Koe". I was honestly surprised that the movies were written by the same guy. o.O Not that "Hoshi no Koe" sucks; it's a great story. I just didn't expect the same guy to have written both of them. ._. WTH, both ended up with sad endings. UGH. Write a happy story for once, Shinkai-sensei. I feel really sad for Takaki. ![]() EarthAdept2 Wrote:Is this the 5 Centimeters per second? Yeah it is. You can watch it at animeseason.com as "Byousoku 5 Centimeter".
[Movie] Byousoku 5 Centimeter - Rhayn - 2011-04-24 I thought the art style was really beautiful, but I didn't really like the story. Not surprising in hindsight; it's not the sort of anime I normally go for. And uh... 5 Centimeters Per Second happens to be my favorite movie, so... I actually just watched The Place Promised last night. I did like it a lot, but I think they should have shown a bit more of the "past", since it would have made some of the scenes near the end more emotional. I simply believe that it is more proper to use the original name, rather than the translation (which has a slightly different meaning, by the way).
[Movie] Byousoku 5 Centimeter - Shidoshi - 2011-04-26 This movie is awesome, I can never hold up my tears in the ending song. It's incredibly sad but it's also a "good" ending.
