Using games to help make a better world. - Cancambo - 2010-10-13 http://www.ted.com/talks/jane_mcgonigal_gaming_can_make_a_better_world.html After watching it, I don't really agree with her for the most part, but it has got me to think about a little bit more. Games can be used positively. Games have already been used to promote other things besides like just blatant fun (e.g. America's Army which was made to help recruit people). Why couldn't we use games to help make people act better? Using games to help make a better world. - Arrg - 2010-10-14 Like I was saying in our chat, I think she's pretty wrong for promoting MMO's, the most addicting type of game. If she was promoting like SSBB or wii games or really social similar games, it'd be fine. Anyone else think she's just being paid by blizzard for this? |
