I grew up listening to this and other Buffett songs, but this one always struck me as deeply haunting and memorable. Something about it still moves me when I hear it today.

Yes. I'm sure we all have issues of being escapists at some point in life.
Actually did an art project with clippings of the lyrics under a painting back in high school. And as for art, I don't really wanna talk about it.
