I've spent seven hours perfectly doing what I thought wasn't possible.:f6:
I've been upgrading my macOS: bootcamp: windows vista copy. To a windows 7 professional copy.
First of all I've been told you can't even upgrade windows vista to windows seven on boot camp unless its with a disc.
Second, I've been told you have to do a fresh install (get rid of all your programs and files). THEY ARE ALL STILL HERE AND UN TOUCHED O>O
Third, I've been told you can only install the windows bootcamp tools with a new beta version of boot camp on apples site for download. I've had the same partition for a year or so! :f6:
Everything is working perfectly! Its not a fake windows 7 its real for sure. Out of all the problems I thought i'd runt into. I've run into by far the lamest freaking one in the world! I can't mouther pineappleing change my wallpaper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can change the theme and install custom themes. I can also change the wallpaper between the blank color wallpapers but nothing else.
Seriously I doubt anyone knows how to fix this but it sounds like its something simple.
PLEEEASEEE HELP

Then my friend, you might have installed a modified version of Windows 7 Starter!
Thats the only version that can't change wallpapers. =D

updating to 7 wont remove your files it never would unless there was nothing there - it dumps it all into a folder called window.old in c drive.

In computer properties its says Windows 7 professional >.<
EDIT: fixed I bypassed it with this one program
