Graphic problem. - Adramelech - 2010-06-26

so I recently reinstalled ms on my desktop and for some reason when I'm playing I don't lag but instead like every two to ten seconds the screen sorta freezez up and gets abit slow for a moment ( can't even move mouse ) then it goes back to normal.

its making it impossible to play and IDK whats wrong. this pc has been running ms for YEARS .. it always has. it can run cabal online spot on. also a maple ps works just fine. v75.

so I'm almost sure its a problem with ms. I don't have this problem on my other pc's . I've already updated all my drivers and re downloaded/installed ms.

I'd appreciate some help asap .

When was the last time you played MS on this computer that didn't have the problem? Many users have reported a frame-skipping/freezing sort of lag every 10ish seconds since a patch/sc about 3 months back.

I believe the frame skip happens regularly every 15 seconds, but that's not what OP is experiencing. My Maple has been jazzing all over as well recently, but I know that the cause is the video card I borrowed from my guarantor who's fixing my card.
Condition: the movements slow down for a split second, making you feel as if time is being stretched out, then it fast-forwards to catch up with real time; give it a 3 second grace period, rinse, repeat.

yeah somthing like that, except it slows down to the point where its basicly frozen. then catches up and the actual game itself dosn't lag. and my pc just has a basic built in intel one. well my old desktop that it. my main pc ( pretty decent laptop ) needs a new battery and AC cable.
