Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Nightclaw - 2010-02-04 Well, I see alot of variations on the outlaw build, and since im lvl 62, I think its time for me to start thinking about my build. How does this sound? Any advice is appreciated!
Spoiler
End Build Outcome 20 Burst Fire Maxed 30 Ice Splitter Maxed 30 Octopus Maxed 30 Homing Beacon Maxed 15 Gaviota Maxed 26 Flamethrower sound good? I put the 1 point of gavitoa in the beginning Because of how underestimated I hear lvl 1 is (I talk to the top corsairs of windia occasionally). I also homing for HH and other bosses. Any advice? Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Solarboy - 2010-02-04 I would say max homing beacon earlier, as it will increase your damage by a good amount Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Kurtle - 2010-02-04 solarboy Wrote:I would say max homing beacon earlier, as it will increase your damage by a good amount IIRC 3rd job homing does not increase your damage. Yes, this is the semi cookie cutter build, I suggest getting ice spitter to 26 then starting on octo, then maxing it out after 30 octo. Proposed New Outlaw Build! - SolicShooter - 2010-02-04 solarboy Wrote:I would say max homing beacon earlier, as it will increase your damage by a good amount Only the corsair skill ''bullseye'' increases the damage you do on the monster this skill homing beacon would be just as good at lvl 1 instead for the fact that it heightens impact damage and is a prerequisite for bullseye. Nexon should totally improve this in balancing but they didn't... On too the build I suggest you do those 1 point skills after burst fire and do max flamethrower and 26 ice splitter instead of vica versa. I also suggest you don't do 1 octopus first since I found it virtually useless at lvl 1, gaviota too but that was maybe cause I couldn't cast it without lagging all the time. Get 1 early point in homing it helps in stuff like headless horsemen a lot! About freezing earlier you'll rip your hair out when you compare freeze time with stun time. lvl 1 Freeze SUCKS I repeat SUCKS!. It hits 2 monsters does no damage at all and has a lower disabling time. This is all coming from a 118 Outlaw so I have some experience and I hope I helped you ![]() My build for you would be: Max burst fire>1 gaviato+1 homing>max ice splitter/26 ice splitter>max octopus>max flamethrower/26 flamethrower>15 gaviato>max homing beacon. I find the 26 or max flamethrower or ice splitter thing a matter of personal preference. Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Nightclaw - 2010-02-04 Just curious, why do you say max flame instead? I hear alot of 'sairs saying that they use splitter alot more than flame and regret maxing flame instead. Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Takebacker - 2010-02-04 Level 1 splitter does nothing. You won't use it. Same thing with level 1 octopus. Maxing octopus where you are limits you to newties only. Proposed New Outlaw Build! - SolicShooter - 2010-02-04 Takebacker Wrote:Level 1 splitter does nothing. You won't use it. Same thing with level 1 octopus. We do not have enough background information too determine that. I've HHed from 86 too 118 now since I'm in demethos and I can find enough too lvl and I'm in a specific time zone and you can always go too time temple? :O (Lol I've only trained 50% at newties XD) @Nightclaw, as I said it comes too personal preference the rare time that I use flamethrower is always for damage, the frequent time that I use ice splitter I always do it for freezing. See where the problem is? I usually use it when I've a really big mob lined up nicely frozen. a main problem is that it defreezes the mobs but if you macro them and not spam it after each other they usually don't magic attack you. The places I used it were time temple, skeles and nightshadows. On top of that the KMS skill changes will make flamethrower actually a threatening mob attack. Maybe I just like big numbers for when I hunt noob monsters for event items or other things :O. Also new mobs with fire weakness may come out PS: ofcourse you'll hear corsairs saying they use ice more. They like use it always before they start an attack... For the record I don't regret maxing flame although I'm only 118. Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Nightclaw - 2010-02-04 Edited to take out early octo and cooling, and adding 1 point of homing instead. off topic: wtp was nexon thinking when they made homing? it doesnt even get any better as the lvls go up, yet they require lvl 30... ON TOPIC: does octo need to me maxed before splitter? (This is my main, so ive had no experience with high leveled training spots Edit @ above, does flame--> freeze still keep the fire damage over time, or does it stop once the freeze hits? Proposed New Outlaw Build! - SolicShooter - 2010-02-04 Nightclaw Wrote:Edited to take out early octo and cooling, and adding 1 point of homing instead. I still suggest do too those 1 point skills after maxed burst fire since that damage boost is so important. I do agree with you on homing, they should've made it +10% dmg at maxed level too give it some value but like many other skills nexon turned a blind eye. Yes I'm looking at you grenade/hypnotize. Do you have some kind of training plan or something cause differnt builds bring differnt training spots. Remember octopus disables stun just like gaviato and melee attacks/gun whacking (melee attacks will luckily be fixed in the skill changes, I'm so looking forward too that ).

And, no, no idea where I'm gonna train. This is my main, and I was just gonna figure it out as I go. This build seemed to be forming in my head, so i posted it to get some feedback and see if it was good. Does the flame damage % hit during the WHOLE damage over time, or is that the damage that hits every time interval? What are these skill balancing changes I'm hearing about? Are they confirmed for GMS? Proposed New Outlaw Build! - PirateIzzy - 2010-02-04 Nightclaw Wrote:What are these skill balancing changes I'm hearing about? I cannot stress enough how nice homing is at bosses. It's a godsend at HH, which is an awsome boss for outlaws. For the time being I suggest wind raiders untill at least 80+ with your current build you could go too stuff like time temple after that. the % damage I have dont really have a clue about too bad . it doesn't seem like a % of the hp either but I guess you should ask someone who knows it about that. The skill balance changes can be checked in a thread fiel made in the training center I think. It includes a lot of awsome stuff for the outlaw class. Better flamethrower, ice splitter, recoil shot, double shot, rapid fire, basically a massive update. They aren't confirmed yet for GMS as far as I'm concerned. I've too sleep now (is dutch) but I'l tryl too help you more in the future.
Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Nightclaw - 2010-02-04 wow...

This makes me wonder... why cant they put up an english patch? like they did with digimon RPG online, i mean yes, they get a lot of enw things every now and then but, it wouldnt be too hard would it? OT: oh, sorry for giving wrong advice i suggest you train at jesters at lv 70-75 it works fine

Nah, Windraiders are better. If you have no access to Lower Ascent, try Crossroads. It's a great alternative. Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Nightclaw - 2010-02-04 So, whats the verdict, is this a pretty good build? Proposed New Outlaw Build! - Dyxanije - 2010-02-04 Looks solid. Proposed New Outlaw Build! - KaidaTan - 2010-02-05 I don't know why you're getting a point of Gaviota or Octo early. Really, all of the Outlaw skills suck at level 1 except Burst Fire. Level 71 excluded, I did pretty much your exact build order. Max Burst ASAP, and use Fake Shot for any incapacitation that you need to do until you get Ice to 21: where it gets a 3 second freeze. I also agree with (and did) 26 Flame and max Ice. My main reasoning is what was said earlier -- you use ice far far more often than fire, so I figure maxing Ice would do me more good in the long run. I'm probably going to max Flame around 199 just because, but I honestly think max Ice is the way to go. You can contact me in-game if you want, but I won't be on for a few days. 'cept for gav, i heard from alot of people that its underestimated at lvl 1, its half as strong as maxed. Thx, I'll try to catch you in-game Proposed New Outlaw Build! - SolicShooter - 2010-02-05 Just wanted too share that today flamethrower has been very helpfull. I was doing the first regret quest and my burst fire couldn't 100% knockback them about 60% or so. they can't be frozen so I had too stun them. They come in pretty large mobs so if you space it right you can flamethrower 3 while they're stunned combine that with another attack and it's better dps more diverse and fun, oww and it also kbed them 100% iirc. Just felt like sharing that since I'm under the impression that you think flamethrower is next too useless. |
