You can still be invincible. She just did it weird because she didn't use DU, so she's still attacking slower, but she's still invincible.

But I remember trying it before the skill updates were added and it was impossible to do so.

I haven't seen anything like that in Keyaki yet, but if given the chance, I'd LOVE to attend one of those kinds of events.
