Before you do anything, you should read the whole thing, and not jump to conclusions. Well, I don't know anyone that has this problem other than myself, but it would be nice if someone could figure out what the hell is happening. I'll just paste what I ticketed to Nexon.
Before I am redirected to the hackshield fix, my problem has nothing to do with the patch. I have logged a ticket about this before a very long time ago, and I have not gotten a clear answer from anyone. I have three problems relating to disconnecting and it is only on this computer.
Basically, whenever I open up MapleStory, I log on and disconnect on my first character and get kicked back to the login screenr. I log on to my other account and disconnect again back to the login screen. It will not let me log back into either account because it says that it is still logged on. It is not until I get to my third account that it stops disconnecting.
My second problem is that I disconnect every time I change channels twice. If I log on and change channels once, that is fine. If I try to do it a second time, it disconnects me and the same scenario happens as above. It is very inconvenient that this happens because I have to log out and then log back on just to change channels to avoid disconnecting.
That leads me to my third problem. Sometimes, when I try to log on, I disconnect after I click on my character to go into the game. I then go back to the login screen and it will not let me back on because it says it is still logged on.
I hope you can see how frustrating this can be if all 3 happen in conjunction, which it has been for the past 8 or 9 months. I have tried reinstalling, redownloading, and reformatting to try to fix this problem, but it just refuses to work properly on my computer. It would be very nice if I could have a solution that does not include getting a new computer.

i had your exact same problem and it drove me crazy for half a year cuz i couldnt figure out the exact problem.

Try repairing your internet connection
EDIT:Reformatting doesn't work either? Probably not a software issue then.

thanks so much! it actually worked for some reason, haha. that's pretty much exactly what happened to me too like the patch pirates came out. i forgot to include the fact that i disconnect every time i get out of the cash shop. i got so scared of disconnecting that i never went into the cash shop ever, so i completely forgot -.-

i kno how annoying it was, especially for apq! LOL! when you have to cc and BAM! DC =X luckily i alwys went with frnds, so they knew not to cc as much xDhappy mapling ;]
