Chain lightning hit box? - USMC - 2009-06-14 Just advanced into AM and added 1 point to CL, it's really fun but I got confused by the way it hits mobs after the first mob. Before I actually got my hand on it I thought it was pierce type, but it can hit mobs of two platforms so it's definitely not. So I think it's arrow bomb/inferno type, but it doesn't hit backward...So I think it's something like a arrow bomb's aoe without the back hitting, and larger aoe in in front of the hit point? Also how does it work when it can hit up to more mobs? Does it count as a new chain when the lightning is strike on the 2nd/3rd/4th mob? Or every mob must be closed together? Thanks. Chain lightning hit box? - Kabanaw - 2009-06-14 The way it works is it hits the closest monster to you. After you hit that monster, it looks for the next closest one in the direction away from you, with about 1/4 the max range of the first hit. If it hits that monster, it then looks for the next monster after that. From the second hit on, the range of all the successive hits is the same. Only thing is it doesn't go backwards, so it basically scans a semi circle around the first monster and goes to the next. It may appear to go backward when you cast it and a monster it has targeted moves closer to you, making it seem to go backwards. If you keep using it you'll eventually be able to see what can be hit and what can't. Chain lightning hit box? - USMC - 2009-06-14 Thanks for the replys. I just got the skill and it only hits up to 2 mobs so it's hard to tell. Edit: Btw are you guys sure it's a half moon instead of a box? o.O Chain lightning hit box? - Fiel - 2009-06-15 USMC Wrote:Edit: Btw are you guys sure it's a half moon instead of a box? o.O I am very sure on that.
