I think that this is a very good test of their system. If accounts are truly secure, then this will show it. In fact, I applaud all those trying to hack into your account right now, because whether they're doing it to prove accounts aren't safe, for the lulz, or for the money, it will show the PIC either is or isn't secure enough to put the community at ease.

When we as people see the term 'hacker', we automatically think "Oh, must be a bad person!". Did you know, there are hackers out there that specifically works for governments to defend against other hackers? True stuff. Fight fire with fire. There are people out there who uses their talents and specializations to help others, rather than destroy. It is harder to defend than it is to destroy. So what Fiel said actually made sense, too bad not a lot of people realize that it can be a good thing.
