It was so epic, it got a bunch of us football americano players to start screaming like lunatics.

Epic indeed.

Ok, 2 days round up:

Mexico - Uruguay: 0-1
-> Hmmmm, match deserved to be a draw... ah well ok, they both proceeded to the next round, so w/e... Gratz to both teams! Smile
France - South-Africa: 1-2
-> lolFrance got pwned much... crappy coach, crappy tactics, crappy players, crappy team... Exit South-Africa though... :/
Greece - Argentina: 0-2
-> lolGreece, go back into your cave with your boring defending Castle football, bye bye! Smile Go Go Argentina btw! Tongue
Nigeria - South-Korea: 2-2
-> Another African country out of the World Cup... yeah, they just don't have the scoring power you need at a World Cup... Gratz to South-Korea to proceed though! Smile

Slovenia - England: 0-1
-> Only 1 goal for England... they won't make it far in this World-Cup... Also Exit Slovenia,
USA - Algeria: 1-0
-> Excellent spirit USA!! Play to win and keep on playing till the very end! Gratz on proceeding to the 1/8th Finals! Smile Exit Algeria... but that was to be expected.
Ghana - Germany: 0-1
-> Hmmmm, if Germany keeps playing like this... they won't make it very far either... Also: Ghana is the first (and only?) African country to get to the 1/8th Finals. :o
Australia - Serbia: 2-1
-> Haha, nice one Australia, too bad they don't proceed in the tournament, also... exit lolSerbia... yeah that was your own fault! Tongue

lolItaly. I'm glad they lost. : )

That one controversial goal that didn't count, from what I understand, isn't a goal. The entire ball has to cross the line, right? If so, then to me it wasn't. And if it was, karma wanted it's New Zealand penalty goal balanced.

Well, SIAMO FUORI DELLA COPA for Italy it is.

Europe has been such a let down this World Cup.

Well, this was Holland's best match so far in my opinion. It's a shame we had such a sided referee, obviously trying to avoid us using some players if we end up against Chile. =\

Yeah, finally an opponent that played to win! Great exiting match, lots of nice attacking and actions from both sides! The Netherlands has 9 points now, sovereign winner in their poule! Slovakia here we come! Big Grin

Also, awesome moment when Arjen Robben returned to the field, the whole stadium was like Oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Big Grin

And yes, that fricking Chilean referee! Wtp, trying to get the World Cup to South-America with throwing out yellow cards like a madman for simple fouls??? Too afraid that The Netherlands will beat Brazil on full strength in the quarter finals?? Shame on you sucker!!! Put another Chilean pepper in your ass and tape it with ducktape plz... -.-

YES YES... ROBBEN IS BAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!! Prepare yourself biaches!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I've been watching some World Cup matches at the college cafeteria. There are 6 big-screen TVs strewn about, along with one huge projector screen (must be at least 15 feet wide) hanging from the wall. 2 TVs will feature one game, while the other 4 plus the giant screen feature another. (Un?)Fortunately, no sound, just captions. (It might actually be a blessing since we can avoid hearing the vuvuzuelas.)

Yesterday, the US VS Algeria game was featured. People CRIED after the goal. And about half of us were late for our classes afterwards.

Today, the Japan VS Denmark game was featured on the giant projector screen. Lots of lulz were had. And lots of rage at the referee for allowing Denmark that lame penalty kick towards the end.

lol ESPN. "The Viking Ship has been torpedoed, and the ship has to be corrected."

They sure be. They self-destructed a week ago.

Come on, America! Let's bring the World Cup back!

Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Manu - 2010-06-25

Chile classified pineapple YEAH, very sucky match against spain though, they played really bad, and Spain only won because of our mistakes...
Chile's goal was perfect, while both of the spanish goals were bad, really they sucked.
Anyway, we go against Brazil now, tough match, specially with Medel out for the match (world cup favourite so far), but we can get it.

Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Rob - 2010-06-26

Why is Gary Medel out? Injury? That sucks.

Call Salas back :3
