Or things like HT anymore, where all they'd have to do is log in after a SC/patch and sit in CH9 entrance to know that it's clearly glitched. Or log in and sit in Ch1 FM1. Not hard to tell which people/group is using bots/map crash to get spots. I'll take the blame for that F3. [Article] Nexon America's Pre-Paid Card Empire - GummyBear - 2011-02-09 the end of 4th paragraph Wrote:...and the first and most popular of these is MapleStory, with 7.6 million registered users. These are dedicated players, too -- over the last quarter of 2010, MapleStory hosted 44 in-game weddings per day. Nexon keeps breaking its own records; for overall registered users, for revenue from them, and for concurrent users around the world. So we're looking at around 30 employees to 7600000 ratio..... which equates to 1 employee per 253334 customers. IMO, the problem here isnt about GM/MWLB not doing their jobs but rather the overwhelming ratio. A few years back, I gave up doing anything about hackers, since it's disturbing to see the same hackers in the same maps over and over again. Now at the present time, things are still the same. While you may see some list of people they banned, many of our daily game play remains miserable still. For Nexon benefits, let assume they have a different department to manage their ticketing system. Problem is that it takes forever still for someone to actually get to your ticket, let alone trying to solve it. This makes their PR gloats quite pathetic especially when Quote:Nexon made $29 million in revenues in 2007, rising to $45 million in 2009 and double-digit growth over that last year only to have customers experiencing the same pains since those years. What conclusive about this is that "There is something like $1.5 billion of available cash in the pockets of people 17, 18 years old," he says, and Nexon is just taking its share and put it into their fat pockets. Further more, "We look at this as a service, not a product," they have successfully discern the concept that "customer is always right". I guess 17 and 18 years old customers are extremely placid, or highly forgiving. [Article] Nexon America's Pre-Paid Card Empire - Killed - 2011-02-09 you have to remember not all those "registered users" still play, and most people have well over 5 accounts each. Hell I think I myself have atleast 10 accounts that I've made. Most people wouldn't ever need more than 2-3 accounts for normal playing, and 5+ is stretching it for "most" players. What you said was that most players have 5+ accounts. Maybe it averages out to 2-3 per player, at best, but most have no reason to make a 2nd account, let alone 3 more. [Article] Nexon America's Pre-Paid Card Empire - Killed - 2011-02-09 still, even with 2-3 accounts, that would cut that number in half. then minus all the inactives. it can't be that hard to have a GM or two login every couple days and make their presence known by smegaing or banning some people. its not like they have to walk to maps and check them. used to be nice when you'd see blue banners pop up with ign's of people who were just banned. when was the last time a GM interacted with the community? right before big bang wasnt it? how long ago was that [Article] Nexon America's Pre-Paid Card Empire - GummyBear - 2011-02-09 That's not the point of me mentioning the ratio tho. They marketed to have that many registered users and of course it would dampen their ego if they mentioned what you said. Even then, the ratio is still overwhelming... [Article] Nexon America's Pre-Paid Card Empire - modular - 2011-02-10 privately held company -> no shareholder accountability -> company doesnt care about reputation, only success -> bad customer service as long as they make money, might change when they run into the red. doesnt look like thats happening... *sigh* |
