A few seconds after they got back to town, the player seemed to get something...look at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Wonder what it is...I don't think he/she picked up anything...
Then again, it really is all pretty fishy.

Smoke only works on your party members, maybe those guys weren't in the party? I dunno, I didn't look into it that carefully.

Was the Boss Damage reflecting. I think DR bypasses smoke even.

skip to 2 40, and at several parts of the video, it seems to be attached to one of the maplers, could be the "androids" we have heard of, or as tikey said, a CS item, whatever it is, it's not a mapler.
also, is it just me... or at 2:40 the empress transforms people... into pigs...?

weird, they are exactly like a mapler then, not to mention, they don't seem to follow you as with the follow system, but rather, stick to a side regardless of where you are looking (but look in that direction anyways)
