Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Kawasari Mimoto - 2009-12-14 Orit Wrote:The ones who do get shafted unfairly by the new formula, are hime-ing priests. I actually agree with this, since I play a Bishop. Yes, Priests and Clerics definitely can't help it if they have to "party" any other character, considering that their main arsenal would be "HEAL". >_> You can't expect to find Heal-weak monsters everywhere, which is why partying was involved for easy of leveling, not saying leeching. Back when I played a Cleric, I had to constantly party, I couldn't give a rat's-ass what class it was (unless it was another Cleric...), but I just needed to party, because it'd make my life easier. With this party-exp ratio now, Clerics and Priests have it bad. They'll start to see less Bishops now, because of this. I actually enjoyed playing my Bishop. :/ Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-12-14 I think they should move the party exp to 70/30, it would at least make leeching slower than it used to, as well as allow for adequate party training, along with somewhat ok exp for support classes. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - ImagineAll - 2009-12-14 Wishful thinking. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - ScherzoDeLuce - 2009-12-14 or use this exp formula that Locky92 create : Example : For party of 2 Level difference 0-5 : 60% EXP for main attack, 40% EXP for party member Level difference 6-15 : 70% EXP for main attack, 30% EXP for party member Level difference 16-30 : 80% EXP for main attack, 20% EXP for party member Level difference 31^ : 90% EXP for main attack, 10% EXP for party member @ Boss Fight : leecher wont be able to get any exp unless they can deal some damage to the boss. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - LegendGospel - 2009-12-14 I only have to say this formula his horrible for my 103 Priest. Himes with DK? Crap exp. Newties HS mule? Crap exp, specially for my level. Gobies with my Marauder GF? Crap exp, even if I hit all Gobies. All used to be nice exp for me, now it's horrible. I'm a SUPPORT class, I don't attack, and we have a formula where attackers get the exp. The most realible thing I've found is soloing Himes or raping Galloperas with Shining Ray, but that's a 1 in a 50 chance to get a map for myself. B> Leech... oh, wait... Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Takebacker - 2009-12-14 ScherzoDeLuce Wrote:or use this exp formula that Locky92 create : A better formula would be: Difference of 0-25 = 60:40 ratio Difference of 26-35 = 70:30 ratio Anything higher = 90:10. @ boss fight: You must do at least 1.5% of the bosses HP or else you don't get exp at all. If you do 1.5% or higher, the 80:20 ratio is applied. The quoted formula is useless because an extremely small % of mage/attacker parties at skeles are 5 levels away from each other. I would even say that even a significant portion fall within the 90:10 range. You forget that mages still level faster than non-mages, and expecting them to train within the same level of each other is an extreme hassle. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Tikey - 2009-12-14 Takebacker Wrote:Just because a skill has a cooldown does not make it useless. I'm not familiar with the relationship between cooldowns and server lag, but wouldn't the ~3 second execution time of Meteor/Blizz cancel out the 3 second cooldown? o_o Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - KissyCake - 2009-12-14 I actually do hope the formula returns to normal...its annoying to those lv 200 bishop and archmages who rather leech themselves than training . (tried leeching my NL today and got 1.6% in a hr of event 2x...well he is 16x tho lol but its just easier than training on the NL by itself.) and the extra experience does nothing since we are lv 200. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Amnesia - 2009-12-14 I don't see Leeching as an issue. It's a choice. Now I don't expect to see Priests make it far. It's like when you're older sibling does something wrong at 16 and then when you get to that age your parents immediately don't trust you, either. Ah well, it's still beautiful to only see a couple of sad and lonely smega's b> leech a day now. Well pomegranate, this is why they fixed it, and rightfully too, anyone with a brain knows that if leeching at 160 is faster than training something is wrong. I for one like this, less leechers mean more maps and less 4th job dead weights that can't even play their characters. Well done nexon, for once. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Shidoshi - 2009-12-14 I don't care much for this change, my lone wolf F/P mage doesn't feel a thing. Since I never leeched anyway, I'm pretty happy with this. More maps for people who want to train. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Fumni - 2009-12-14 Nesso Wrote:Training with another attacker instead of a Bishop is suddenly better EXP. Try out Obliv 2. That's a great idea in theory, but you and I both know that the people who were leeching at Leafre didn't do their Time Temple quests either, and can't reach Oblivion 2 (they probably can't even get to Dodo yet, and all of its high profit scrolls, either.) Let's see how many leechers actually do those quests to get to that great training spot, and we'll start seeing converts for the first time. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Stereo - 2009-12-14 Orit Wrote:The ones who do get shafted unfairly by the new formula, are hime-ing priests. They changed the exp in favour of Priests last patch, now they reduce it slightly. Old: 0.2 exp for doing the most damage, 0.8 split between levels Last patch: 0.2 exp split based on damage, 0.8 split between levels Now: 0.6 exp split based on damage, 0.4 split between levels What does that mean? Well, let's take a level 100 Priest+DK at Himes. If the DK does the most damage, say about a 60-40 split, Old: DK gets 60%, Priest gets 40%. Last patch: DK gets 52%, Priest gets 48%. Now: DK gets 56%, Priest gets 44%. Say the damage is more biased to the DK, because the Priest is actually not dealing much damage. eg. 80-20. Old: DK gets 60%, Priest gets 40%. Last patch: DK gets 56%, Priest gets 44%. Now: DK gets 68%, Priest gets 32%. Or the DK, for some reason, is killing everything and the Priest just HSs sometimes. Old: DK gets 60%, Priest gets 40%. Last patch: DK gets 60%, Priest gets 40%. Now: DK gets 80%, Priest gets 20%. So what does this mean? Priests have to actually do something to earn their bit of exp. The "balance point", where Priests are earning exactly as much exp as before the formula was changed is if the DK does twice as much damage as the Priest. Is that really so difficult to even do half as much damage as an equal level attacker? Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - Grey - 2009-12-14 At first, I expected to laugh at the people who thought the new formula could stop leeching, only for them to find that it ruins party training as well, but, from my experience with the new formula in the past few days, I've realized, it's pretty awesome. I can now use my bishop as an HS mule, and get the full multiplier regardless of how many people are in the party, without stashing it in the cash shop. In summary, the new exp formula is perfect, they should never change it back. Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - fiftyschmooo - 2009-12-14 ya... theres a reason i stopped training my Sair, this "nerf" hurts all of maple, yes ALLL of it.. let me give yall a run down.... Say im a 18X Corsair(hey look i am) and im training with a 18X bishop(also was) the bishop would be getting noticeablly more exp per hour than i was getting(just look @ the lvl 200 lookout thread that was made to show exp per day for various people close to lvl 200 and you will notice bishop and AM exp's are generally higher per day...) and now they made it so the bishop gets even more exp per hour now the way this affects the bishop negativly also is BAM i am no longer training with the bishop and she has no bottomer this has to solo... and get worse exp then before the nerf ![]() They shoulda just made it so that the level gap warrants more of a reduction of exp than before this at the least would discourage people from leeching Low low levels @ harps and newtys and wyverns and .... blah blah or cap it off that if a 4th job is with a 3rd job char they get less exp too sept this might mess with Newty pt's or they could have it as an active exp sharing component where you no longer gain exp if you dont kill a monster every X seconds...in reality i think this exp change should have only really affected 2nd and 3rd job chars, 4th job chars didnt exactally abuse this toooo much i think, since its liek faster to actually attack than leech into your 4th job, problem is usually just finding a party Exp Formula Returning Back To Normal? - FluffyFoxxie - 2009-12-14 fiftyschmooo Wrote:Say im a 18X Corsair(hey look i am) and im training with a 18X bishop(also was) the bishop would be getting noticeablly more exp per hour than i was getting(just look @ the lvl 200 lookout thread that was made to show exp per day for various people close to lvl 200 and you will notice bishop and AM exp's are generally higher per day...) and now they made it so the bishop gets even more exp per hour now the way this affects the bishop negativly also is BAM i am no longer training with the bishop and she has no bottomer this has to solo... and get worse exp then before the nerf Are you stupid?
